Guest guest
In our case, we pay my son's school directly (out of pocket) and then once a quarter we get a check from the Autism Scholarship program. We have to pay my son's tuition every month---maybe if you had to pay your provider less often things would work out when you have the scholarship funds BEFORE your provider payment was due. (Our autism scholarship checks are made payable to my husband--and NOT to our provider--but again, this is something Sogan could clarify for you.) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. Guest guest
Hi, Does the parents have to pay for the school on the provider list out of their pockets and then be reimbursed or does the payment come directly from the autism scholarship program? Once approved, does my son have to go to another school. Thanks for the information. ---- Christie Funderburk <sunshinefun@...> wrote: > Hello, y'all! > > I'm Christie, and our family is from Texas; yet we live here, in Ohio > now. Guest guest
Can I ask you why your son canot go to Hudson schools?> ----- Original Message ----- From: Christie Funderburk Sent: Friday, July 06, 2007 12:56 PM Subject: Re: [ ] (unknown) - Autism Scholarship - any experienced parents? Hello, y'all! I'm Christie, and our family is from Texas; yet we live here, in Ohio now. My son has been approved for the scholarship as of July 1st of this year, and we will be able to use it for services the remainder of the summer. It only took about 2 weeks to do the paperwork and get him approved. However, the only reason why we can use the scholarship over the summer is because he is approved for the scholarship for the entire 2007-2008 school year. He will not be able to attend school in the Hudson City Schools this upcoming year. It's sort of an all or nothing kind of deal. And all of the money for everything we do has to be paid from us up front. Ugh! Then, we'll be reimbursed at the end of each quarter. It will be a challenge, but we want to try it. Good luck to those of you who do use the scholarship...and those of you who choose not to. It's great to live in a state where we do have a choice! Guest guest
Hi, , I'm sorry. It's not that he can't attend there. It's just that we've decided, as parents, that it's not the best fit for him this year. There are many kids who really benefit from their preschool program! :-) Christie wrote: Can I ask you why your son canot go to Hudson schools?> ----- Original Message ----- From: Christie Funderburk @group s.com Sent: Friday, July 06, 2007 12:56 PM Subject: Re: [ ] (unknown) - Autism Scholarship - any experienced parents? Guest guest
Hello I just wish I can find just one parent in Twinsburg to talk to! I just came back from a weekend of househunting, and I wish I knew more about that particular school district. Anyway: I wish you and your son the best! How is he doing now? ----- Original Message ----- From: Christie Funderburk Sent: Friday, July 13, 2007 3:53 PM Subject: Re: [ ] (unknown) - Autism Scholarship - any experienced parents?
