Hello, y'all! I'm Christie, and our family is from Texas; yet we live here, in Ohio now. My son has been approved for the scholarship as of July 1st of this year, and we will be able to use it for services the remainder of the summer. It only took about 2 weeks to do the paperwork and get him approved. However, the only reason why we can use the scholarship over the summer is because he is approved for the scholarship for the entire 2007-2008 school year. He will not be able to attend school in the Hudson City Schools this upcoming year. It's sort of an all or nothing kind of deal. And all of the money for everything we do has to be paid from us up front. Ugh! Then, we'll be reimbursed at the end of each quarter. It will be a challenge, but we want to try it. Good luck to those of you who do use the scholarship. ..and those of you who choose not to. It's great to live in a state where we do have a choice!
