What is the half-life of hydrocortisone? Please advise asap-THANK YOU!

Hello

I had just started my HC treatment having seen Dr P and when I saw my

GP he said that he might support my treatment, but that I would have to

have a blood test to confirm low cortisol and therefore should stop all

treatment (NAE too) so that the result was not contaminated. Thus I

took my last HC treatment(10mg)/NAE x4 on Monday (having been on that

for the week prior) and wondered if my blood would be clear enough for

a test tomorrow (Friday)?? I am loathe to wait for Monday because I am

feeling worse and worse though that is what my GP suggested.

Thanks so much if someone could let me know and fingers crossed because

the sooner the better!
