He is currently seeing a development ped down in Akron but I feel like I'm handing over a $25 copay every 3 months to be told 'keep it up'. I'm looking for a GOOD doctor who understands autism (duh). I am not married to the concept that it has to be a dev ped - it could be a shaman for all I care, as long as they provide concrete guidance and a proactive attitude. Not a 'hey, I'll see you in six months' type of person. The small window of opportunity freaks me out and I feel that this dr is not a custom fit for our situation. I am much more of an action plan kind of person. We also use a play based approach, if that makes any difference. Feel free to email me or post your suggestions. Again - thanks!
