I am convinced that I was born iodine deficient because my physical

features and birth circumstances match a huge list of those for

iodine deficiency/hypothyroidism. I've been told i look russian,

which is true, and I just clicked that the russians I look like

(broad pale face etc etc) are probably iodine deficient too. I also

have a lot of the lifelong symptoms of iodine deficiency and can

easily sleep 12-18 hours a day. I've been formally diagnosed with

idiopathic hypersomnia, adhd and severe ibs with probably multiple

food intolerances.

So I'm detoxing. Unfortunately I don't know of any doctors in Oz

that know about this iodine thing and have realised to my horror that

most of them can't interpret blood test results. I did notice that my

blood test results match those reported by the NHMRC in relation to

sheep & the hepatological effects of fluoride. Unfortunately there

were apparently no studies on fluoride and human hepatology to review.

I am somewhat anaemic iron - 16.5 umol/L

(Most drs seem to think this is just fine but it gets me rejected

from the blood bank so it can't be that great)

In the space of 2 years my results have been as follows

Transferrin from 3.2 to 2.4 g/L

IBC Calc has increased from 70 to 54 umol/L

Saturation has increased from 23 to 31 %

Ferritin has gone from 7 to 24 ug/L

My TSH has gone from 2.7 to 1.11 mU/L

I don't have a T3 or T4 yet.

My B12 is 404

Haemoglobin is 129

RCC 4.2

Haematocrit .38

lymphocytes decreased from 1.4 to 1.25

monocytes decreased from .9 to .52

Basophils decreased from .1 to .05

Platelets decreased from 339 to 296

ESR was 8

Sodium is 139

potassium 3.8 up to 4.2

chloride 105

Urea up from 5.9 to 6.3

creatinine static at 80

egfr is 70

GGT is up from 34 to *54

LD is 164

Total Protein 68

Albuimin 45

Globumin 23

DHEA is 3.7

Plasma cortisol estimation is 467.3 nmol/l

I don't know if blood tests are reported in the same manner in the

US. Is anyone able to suggest what further tests I should request to

shed light on stuff. I'm not overweight but there is diabetes in the

family.

Sorry for such a big ask, but any tips - however small- would be

greatly appreciated.
