Guest guest
Hi Everyone, Would you like to have a group picnic? I'm working on a plan for a group picnic. (next year we can have a plan to make it an annual picnic for our group.) But, for now, I need your help with planning. Some of our families have met here before, so you may remember it. For newbies; I know of one very good picnic area that has a playground with 2 sizes playgrounds next to each other in the same fenced in area. The playground has bench seating all the way around and it is easy to watch about your children here. The picnic pavilion is right next to the playground area and also provides 2 vending machines for beverages. The restrooms are also close by. I thought this would be a good place with alot of our group's families having small children or children who may wander from a playground area. I based this park on the safty of the totally fenced in playground for our kids and the convenience of the pavilion right next to the playground area. The park is in Sagamore Hills and I found out that we could reserve a pavilion any weekday or week evening for free through my sister in law who is a resident there in Sagamore Hills. Weekdays (M-F) are free of cost to reserve but Weekend (Sat, Sun) reservations would cost $50.00 to reserve. I need to know if this sounds good, being weekdays are free to reserve the pavilion, what about a Friday evening at 6:00pm we could do a hot-dog, hamberger, or if on the special diet something reletive to that. (I found gfcf/nitrate free, hotdogs at a few different locations.) I was thinking also of having some college interns to help with some of the children on the playground so parents can have a chance to chat with one another. so here is the agenda, we need to decide on a weekday evening or weekend but would be a fee, we could split the cost of a weekend reservation, (for september, as August is already reserved both sat, sundays.) or we could reserve free on a weekday evening. Guest guest
great idea - sounds like fun! I'm open to most week-nights except for Tuesdays, at least until August 20, since school starts then. After that, Friday night sounds good. Thanks for doing this!
