Guest guest
Thursday, July 12, 2007 Dear Friends and Colleagues - As many of you are probably aware Dr. Wakefield has been under constant and unrelenting pressure from the medical establishment since the publication of his seminal work in the Lancet in 1998 suggesting the possibility of a link between the MMR vaccine and autism. Dr. Wakefield’s courageous, principled work has come at tremendous personal cost. Once considered the fair-haired, wunderkind of the medical world Dr. Wakefield’s name, reputation and personal integrity has been smeared and besmirched by the profiteering, politically-correct cadre of fear-mongering forces which refuses to take an honest look at any possible vaccine autism connection. In London, on July 16th the General Medical Council (GMC) will begin a disciplinary hearing into allegations relating to the research and clinical activities of Dr. Wakefield, Professor - and Professor Simon Murch. As these courageous doctors stand up for the groundbreaking work they have done for our children, the autism community is gathering to give a unified voice to the hundreds of thousands of children who are rarely heard. CRYSHAME encourages you to show your support at this critical time. From day one of the GMC hearing and throughout its course, Cryshame will use carnations - One Flower One Child - to represent children worldwide who have been affected by the catastrophic rise in autism spectrum disorders. You can nominate a child and write a short message. The child’s name together with your message will be displayed outside the GMC building on day one of the hearing. The flowers will be laid nearby as demonstrations go ahead, creating a sea of flowers representing the urgency of the autism epidemic. Please support Dr. Wakefield by nominating a child and writing a short message here or signing the petition here. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or ideas. Thank you. My Best, Ed Arranga 714.680.0792 http://AutismOne.org earranga@... To be removed from this list please reply with " Remove " in the subject line.
