Guest guest
I took the iodine loading test which said I was deficient in iodine. I had a phone consult with Dr. Flechas and he said to start at 50 mg iodoral and take for the next six months and then have another thyroid ultrasound to see if my thyroid nodules have shrunk. I have hashis and am on Erfa. I didn't seem to have any detox effects when I started iodoral 3 months ago. Anyway, one interesting thing that happened when I started on iodoral was an almost instant reduction in the size of my ganglion cyst on my wrist. Since the nodules and the ganglion cyst are both cysts I wondered if there is a correlation. After a few weeks on iodine the ganglion cyst stopped shrinking and has stayed the same size for the last two months. So I am wondering if the same thing is happening to my thyroid nodules (stopping shrinking) and wondering if maybe I need to increase from the 50 mg dose. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Paige
