Migraines can be caused from food allergies, poor diet, heavy metal toxicity and hormone imbalances. It isn't always as simple as balancing thyroid and adrenals - unfortunately.

Re: Re: iodine and migraines

Hi,I am wondering if anyone on this list was/is a migrainer who has been helped by healing thyroid and adrenals... i would love to hear your story.laura

Yup ~ and at least one ingredient in the iodine protocol has established itself

as a significant player in the relief of migraines ... Magnesium.

Like iodine there are studies that have revealed a significant deficiency of Mg

in the population and for some it is necessary to use a loading dose in order to

restore cellular levels.

Search this forum for 'magnesium' and/or 'Norm Shealy' to see previous posts of

mine which give more detailed information. Dr. Norm Shealy did early clinical

studies on Mg and from that created his Magnesium Lotion. Other folks such as

Dr. Mark Sircus and Dr. Carolyn Dean have also written books about Magnesium.

I use Magnesium Oil by Ancient Minerals and reading Dr Mark Sircus material, that is how I came to find this product. It doesn't seem to help with my severe muscle cramping though. And I take 800mgs or more of magnesium nightly. I also have had IV Magnesium Drips done and they don't help with the cramps either.

Hi LP

Are you also on the LDN list?

Anyway, perhaps the muscle cramping is from an electrolyte imbalance?

I'm thinking potassium/sodium/calcium?

I started magnesium for cramps, but not totally elleviated.. the naturopaph

suggested I add ppotassium, which is also needed..

Regards Ingrid/Australia (who is seeing if this appears on this site, as my last

two questions never did)
