I would love to know more about this as I have had a huge belly forever. And I have taken probiotics, enzymes etc for quite some time w/no changes.I am guessing it has a lot to do with eating/drinking things one is allergicto thus causing inflammation. Any helpful tips to heal my leaky, I am assuming, gut are appreciated.AliOn Feb 8, 2011, at 9:48 AM, health_info_at wrote:

i wrote to dr brownstien recently and was advised by his personal assistent that he had not witnessed any detrimental effect of iodine on bowel flora. this sits right with me. gerson therapy does well using it, and there was a very detrimental effect we would see dysbiosis and related problems.

Ali, I know nothing about your health situation, but what is your body

temperature?

I had years and years of bloating after my metabolism crashed, and tried all the

things you tried. Most enzymes made me worse. I would eat a tiny portion of a

meal, and then bloat up. I'm thin, but looked quite pregnant at times.

When I started taking T3 for my Hashi's and my thyroid conversion problem,

bingo! That very day I was able to eat twice as much without bloating.

This is what I'm conjecturing: Digestive enzymes operate in narrow temperature

ranges. Many of them do not work under 98.2 F. The T3 raised my body temp. It's

still not quite up to normal, but it's made a pretty big difference to my

digestion.

Here is a picture of exercises for the leaky gut from my naturopath. I have used it and it has helped me tremendously. Hope it will help you.

Sorry for being so behind on my e's.

Glowing,
