Guest guest
Hi! I'm new to the group. I was wondering if anyone could help me understand if there is any danger and/or benefit to taking iodine if you have seizures. I have two boys with Autism and both have seizures. I'd really like to try iodine on them for multiple reasons, but wondered if there was any chance of it causing more seizure activity. Thanks! Guest guest
I don't know the answer. Before I started on iodine, I had gradually over the years developed tremors in my hands, particularly when I did things requiring fine motor coordination. I also progressively had balance problems and noticed my toe would sometimes drag as I took a step. I thought is was just old age. After just a few months of iodine at 50mg, these were 75% gone, and now after 10 months they are 90% gone. I also started taking l-tyrosine, and dl-phenylalanine which are involved with nerve function and I already took most of the other adjuncts to iodine (selenium and chromium, magnesium, B6, vitamin C) plus my normal multiple vitamin, B vitamins, E, and calcium, magnesium and zinc. The iodine, l-tyrosine, and dl-phenylalanine were the things I had not been taking before, so I think they were what improved my nerve function, and I would guess that these would improve a seizure problem if anything, and not worsen it. > > Hi! > > I'm new to the group.
