taking supplements at the same time as Lugol's

I have searched this forum as well as the internet and I can't find any info on

this.

When I take my Logol's can I take my vitamin C too (I use a buffered ascorbic

acid) or am I supposed to wait 30 min before taking other supplements after

taking my Lugol's? I've read if you take vit C with Lugol's it turns the iodine

portion into iodide essentially making Lugol's 100% iodide.

I see info where all the authorities say take C, selenium, magnesium etc... but

not one of them specifies weather you can take it all at once with the iodine or

if you should wait 30 min before taking additional supplements.

I read some say take iodine with food and others say take iodine in the morning

wait 30 min and then it's ok to eat.

I think the jury is out about whether vit C tablets would affect Lugol's in

the stomach. If you want to be perfectly sure, take your Lugol's right

before eating and your Vit C after the meal or later. Those taking Iodoral

tablets don't have anything at all to be concerned about.

Iodine is better taken with food because it is part of foods and will be

more bioavailable taken with food. Some people do take it on an empty

stomach but there is no real reason to do so. In addition, some people

will get an upset stomach with Lugol's at higher doses, so taking with food

is prevention of that.

I frequently take my Lugol's near the same time as my Vit C tabs and I'm

having very positive results from the iodine protocol. I think that the

Lugols is absorbed before the Vit C tablet is even dissolved.
