Guest guest
Does anyone know the ideal range for the dried Urine test for iodine? I just got my results back, but theNormal range is huge!SamiSent from my iPodOn Feb 8, 2011, at 4:26 AM, iodine wrote: Iodine Messages In This Digest (6 Messages) 1a. It's actually a sign of bromide detoxing or detoxing in general. Several of the iodine docs take iodine with Vit C so there really isn't much to that either. I beat cancer taking them together. Re: signs of too much iodine Hi, I was reading a book review and saw this comment by the writer: that a sign of getting more than enough iodine in your system is a "wet" nose.... I am guessing maybe meaning a drippy nose. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered any such idea. The poster also stated that you should not take iodine with anti-oxidants which included the ones we post here that you SHOULD take with iodine. So i am not sure about the validity of anything that they said! On 2/5/2011 9:13 PM, Cochrane wrote: I have run out of selenium and am not going to have more for about two weeks. Is it ok to keep taking my current dose of iodine - 100mg per day - for the two weeks, without the selenium? Or should I cut out the iodine until I have more selenium or just cut it down and, if so, to what dose, please? Just wanted to add that I had very high Reverse T3 and have been taking cynomel, HC for my adrenals and iodine for just over three months now and am doing much much better. I also had Hashimoto's - I don't know what my antibodies are like at the moment, but all my symptoms are improving. We also go by that rule. Not sure where we heard it~ > >> I have run out of selenium and am not going to have more for >> about two weeks. Also, if one is on daily high-dose iodine, it seems the TSH would be continually elevated. How do we sort this out, or is the TSH ot a true reading of blood levels when on iodine? Guest guest
Is that the ZRT test? We don't recommend this test on the group because it is new and the validity of it hasn't been established. It appears to be more of a spot level test which does not test for full body saturation like the test from Hakala Labs. Also you are not getting a bromide level which will tell you if you are toxic and your iodine receptors are blocked which gives you a false "high level" reading. Do you have a document that they sent you? I would like to see what you have. If you can scan it or e-mail it to me at ladybugsandbees@... that would help.
