Guest guest
Karyn,Are you giving C vitamin maybe 1000, salt sounds good, could be a B complex would help him with detox. I had a sick liver from stuck gallstone and 2 surgeries to correct that. B complex helped me to avoid detox the past 3 years on iodine at 50 mg. Is he having magnesium as well? Also to reduce or eliminate his rash. Take plain oatmeal and put in blender to top of blades or slightly less. Make oat flour. Gather 2-3 cups. Put child and oatmeal flour in tub a half hour to soak. Should remove rash or irritation. Works for chicken pox and poison ivy and mosquito bites. If skin needs more then emu oil would be my first choice. www.vitacost.com or oregonemuproducts.com Takes very little and heals from inside to out. Works on tender areas and private areas and delicate areas and open wounds if necessary such as surgical wound research, I read about recently. Hope this helps, I would try 2 days off when symptoms like this happen to give his body time to catch up. I would keep up the other items though on the 2 days.Pam On Wed, Feb 2, 2011 at 8:35 PM, karynmnordland <karynnordland@...> wrote: As I am getting started for my seven year old, DS and hypothyroid, We are giving two 1/4 tsps of Celtic Sea Salt daily and one Iodoral along with Nature Sunshine Thyroid Support because this was recommended to go along with the Iodoral at our herbal store. He has taken it for a full week. I noticed a very large patch of red around his old mickey button/G-tube site yesterday and today. It went to his back on his left side and covered nearly 2/3 of his stomach/abdomen/rib area. Also the bumpy rash in private areas/thighs/lower abdomen has increased/returned. Would these be signs of detox or signs of reaction to these supplements? Thanks for helping me learn, Karyn
Guest guest
Karyn-- It's detox. Please see my previous post on the itching thread about skin and detox and how to handle iodine supplementation. Then you can ask Steph about dosing for children in light of his extreme detox reaction. You can cut the Iodoral tabs in half to slow down how much iodine you're giving him. -- >Karyn, > >Are you giving C vitamin maybe 1000, salt sounds good, could be a B >complex would help him with detox.
