Ok, I keep trying to post my question about iodine and itching and

it does not show the message part.

But, I am wondering if anyone gets itching issues when upping their

iodine???

It seems to be a histamine reaction. The skin is a large elimination organ. What has helped is to take a detox bath. Take 1 cup of epsom salts and 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide and put in very warm water. Soak in it for 20 mins.

Hello,

I dont have personal experience of itching with Iodine use, but if you look at the gerson therapy, you will see that itching is likley to be waste eliminated through the skin, brought on by the iodine use, which will cause a push of toxins out of the cells, especially if used in combination with a alkalising diet which is low in salt. Sodium is one of the main toxins you will see come out through the skin, sometimes with a rash, or small blisters.

Do you have any reference material to support this?

Re: iodine & itching

,We have had the experience of increased itching when taking increased amounts of iodine. The itching is caused by fungus located beneath the skin's surface. I have a salve that eliminates the itching by getting rid of the fungus. /Israelwww.alternative-cancer-cures.com> >> >> >>

Itching is a bromine detox symptom. It's normal to the iodine

protocol. However, we usually advise that if people are having skin

symptoms from detox (usually talking about acne) we suggest backing off the

iodine a bit (reducing the dose slightly) and work on your detox pathways

so that the detox byproducts leave your body through the urination and

intestinal pathways. Sometimes just backing off the iodine and waiting a

week or two to raise it again is sufficient.

That's our advice relative to acne. But the same advice applies to any

detox symptom that is too uncomfortable.

The bath Steph suggests is WONDERFUL! And not expensive. It really helps.

The only itching I experience-- it happened months ago, and is back somewhat--is

all around my throat. It just feels very raw. Itchy, tender, almost burning.

Is it the cancer? Candida? Detox?

Appreciate any ideas. Perhaps wrap it in towels of the epsom/H.Peroxide that

Steph recommends?

Thanks

Marcy

I had horrible itching and redness on my face and neck when I started Idoral.

Used a fungus cream and the itching went away within seconds. Happened

frequently during the first 3 months of Idoral.
