He said, 10 years ago, he would have told me to give it another shot, but now there are other meds on the market, so next we are going to try Humira... he told me that after it starts working, I'll feel like I've never had RA, I don't believe a word of it, lol... I can't see one drug making me feel " normal " again. It's been years since I've felt anywhere near normal anyway. Maybe I'm not giving him enough credit or maybe he's giving himself too much, but I guess we'll just have to give it a try.... > > > > Does anyone else here suffer with migraines? It seems that when I'm having a bad pain day, I get a killer migraine, not sure if there is any correlation. My migraines come in different levels. I constantly have a low grade headache, 2-3 times a week I get a sick to my stomach, wow that light's bright migraine, and 2-4 times a month, I get the headache that makes me vomit, and pass out, and stutter does anyone else go through this with their RA? > > > > I hope everyone is enjoying themselves and having pain free days. take care of yourselves and God bless. > > > > kerri sue > > > > ps.... baby boy is almost back to his old self,,, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers... today is his one year b'day > > > --------------------------------- > for Good > Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. > >

Guest guest
Wow! What an autism-friendly " week it's been. Monday, I enjoyed the informative lecture by Dr. Cheryl. Just when I begin to think I know a few things about the biomedical aspects of autism, I'm given the opportunity to learn even more!!! Oh yes, it was so nice to meet , Rylee's mom! Last Thursday I attended the fundraiser in Akron for NAA-NEO. I thouroughly enjoyed the music by both " Zach " and " Tim Easton " . There were some familiar friendly faces... and Don, of course, and also, who volunteered his time to help out. He and his wife Mona also gave their time to help out on Friday night at the Beachland Ballroom as well. What a success this fundaiser was. I have no idea how it went financially, but I do know that you guys single handedly moved mountains to raise awareness for autism! Thank You!!!! Me? Well, I just went to enjoy a night out and was happy to have hooked up with these great people. I also met some other nice folks! Oh...and n, I got lost too!!! I must have passed the Mocha Maiden 5 times before I realized it was set back in an alley way!!! Sorry you were unable to make it after traveling the distance, but I know how nerve wracking it is when you are in unfamiliar stomping grounds. Oh well , next time we get together, and I will get you something stronger than hot chocolate!!! Friday night I met up with some really fun ladies in Columbus from the Autism-Biomed-Ohio group. In addition, I brought Noah and MacKenzie with me for the week-end...nice grandma: I drive them in, drop them off with Papa and take off for yet another night out. I'm feeling a little guilty... I think this week was some kind of a record for going out! The rest of the week-end was spent just enjoying some of the grandkids, and playing outside! Noah went to Church with me on Saturday, and as he sat quietly through Mass, all I could think of were the early days of autism when he freaked out if we got even close to stepping inside the doors. Afterwards, as we were leaving, I watched a young couple as they struggled to put their little girl's coat on her. As she spun in circles trying to run off, I wondered to myself if she had been diagnosed yet. I wanted so badly to tell them that it gets better... Of course, my own little guy had been patient enough, and as soon as the Priest handed me Communion, Noah looked up at me and asked quietly, " Can we get outa here now " ???? I had to respect that! We also went to the Barber Shop for a haircut. As he sat still and then politely thanked the Barber, I had flashbacks of a mean, nasty hairdresser who took it upon herself to buzz my grandson's head as his mom and I held onto his very strong, sweaty body. He just screamed and arched his back in terror! I remember that woman looking at me like I was a freak when I tried to explain to her that he has autism. She just sneered and told us that he was really bad!!! He was only three!!! Noah is still on the spectrum, but he is steadily making gains in all areas. When you're dealing with a very young child who seems so " far away " and in a world of his own, it's difficult to look ahead... But things get better. I sincerely hope that as more and more information is getting out to the masses, autism families will find the strength and financial means to persue whatever therapies they find works best for their children. Again, thanks to everyone who has done so much to bring the surrounding communities involved in raising autism awareness. Well, gotta go load these kids up and head back to Cleveland! Take Care, =Trish
