Painful Lymph nodes a sign of detox

Hello-

I've been reading these boards for a while, but have never posted. I am so

thankful for all the valuable information I've gleaned from everyone here!

I am 32, and dealing with adrenal problems after a series of miscarriages last

year. I'm also hypo but thanks to Pat (!!!) the first thing I did last September

when I was in the depths of despair was begin the iodine protocol. I've inched

my way up and am now taking 100mg/day. The only detox I ever experienced was a

slight headache for a few days when I added more iodine, and that was easily

fixed with the salt loading.

In November, I tried to add 1/4 grain of Armour and had chest pains, so my

doctor decided I needed to be on the HC for a while and we'd try again. Early

January I did add the Armour, with no problems, and worked my way up to one

grain and was feeling amazing. So amazing, that I tried to cut back on the HC

(probably too fast) and began to feel chest pains, or what I thought were chest

pains.

So I returned to my original dose of HC so my adrenals could handle the Armour,

but was still experiencing not pain, but pulling, aching, etc. around my left

breast. It never went away, even when I backed down on the Armour, and is

spreading to my neck, jaw, shoulder, arm, hand, and down my back, all on that

side. That made me wonder if it wasn't the Armour after all (or maybe it was

both?) but my lymph nodes. Could it be a sign of detox with the iodine? I have

been on 100mg of iodine for about 6 weeks, and didn't notice any detox before

now (except that my 2 yr. old son had whooping cough through Christmas and all

of January, and I think I may have also had it because I was sick for 6 weeks as

well...or was it sickness/detox?).

Anyway, it's causing me pain and my hand and arm are tingly (but no visable

swelling), and it doesn't seem to make a difference whether or not I take more

or less Armour. My husband has been rubbing my back at night, which helps my

back, but not my front/arms. :) I'm tempted to go to my family doctor just

because it's scary to have pain in the breast. But I usually use her as a very

last resort, and I'm not sure what she would do for me anyway. (My more natural

doctor who is helping me with the adrenal/thyroid stuff is 4 hours away.)

I have been drinking some cider vinegar twice a day to alkalize and I've painted

on the iodine on my left breast/armpit...2% mixed in some coconut oil. I tried

covering that area with plastic wrap but man, did that itch.

I apologize for this being so long- I wanted to give enough background to make

things understandable. I'm sure I've left out details too...thanks in advance

for any help!

Brite

If you think your issue is in the lyphatic system, rebounding is usually the recommended way to address it. (If you can't get your hands on a rebounder, exercise moves the lymph, but the rebounder is supposed to be superior.)AnneOn Feb 18, 2011, at 6:11 AM, brite.trice wrote: Hello- I've been reading these boards for a while, but have never posted. Thanks- I called my doctor today and described my pain, and he said probably not

lymph but pulled muscles. I talked to a physical therapist friend and she

confirmed. Thanks!
