Guest guest
About HC, I hear a lot of people using it. If your doctor won't cooperate, can you just get a tube of it at your drugstore and smear it on, and if so, how much would you use? I am just curious. H. PS: I also hear a lot of people complaining about the price of Lugol's. I got TPCS, Iosol Formula II, 1 fl oz (30 ml) for $12.00 and only $1.68 shipping and this 1 bottle will probably last me for many months at 1 drop per day. Guest guest
the HC that I take is Rx but low dose, 5mg 4X a day. OTC from a drugstore is too weak. you can try it but I don't think it will do much. you do not want to take iosol! that is also too weak. you will need Iodoral or lugols solution. Guest guest
One drop per day isn't even enough if you are taking Lugol's, let alone Iosol.AnneOn Feb 27, 2011, at 11:26 PM, wrote: About HC, I hear a lot of people using it. Guest guest
Many years ago, I was given an OTC cortisone cream for an allergic rash by a dermatologist, & it messed up my menstrual cycle. I probably wouldn't have even realized it, but I was charting my cycles trying to get pregnant, at the time, & the shift in my graft was obvious. And the hormonal shift made my fibroids grow again, so they blocked my tubes & I became sterile. The docs told me this was an unusual reaction -- some claimed it was not a reaction at all, but a coincidence. But I would sure recommend caution if you take cortisone...AnneOn Feb 28, 2011, at 6:48 AM, Gracia wrote: the HC that I take is Rx but low dose, 5mg 4X a day. Guest guest
Please do not discuss getting medication without a prescription here. It is something I prefer to not be a part of - especially since I am a naturopath now. It has legal issues that I prefer not to risk delving into and since I own the group I feel it puts me on a bit of thin ice. Buist, ND Owner Re: How to use HC Topical cortisone 1% cream from the drugstore can be used but it is probably not as easily absorbed as a pill. It is used by people who have stomach irritation when using pills. But when you take your pill with heavy cream it can usually help avoid stomach irritation. We got our pills, 20 mg , without prescription via the internet. My daughter uses 5 mg (1/4) of a pill 3 times a day, along with licorice because her aldosterone is low. This does the trick for her, and has even helped stop her adrenaline rush/shaking after she eats. Signs of low aldosterone is pupils that flutter on the flashlight test, and low blood pressure and low blood volume with fainting when rising(vasovagal syncope.)
