Guest guest
I went over section 18 a few times before I wrote my initial post. I am confused what test order from Dr. Flecha since Hakala research lab will not take my order without a doctor. It says the spot test is not recommended so what would I order from Dr. Flecha? Guest guest
For testing info, see Item #18 on the New Member File. For Flecha's test, you need to tell them you are ordering on your own without a doc. Steph doesn't necessarily recommend the spot test as it doesn't tell you body saturation. Guest guest
I don't know why Hakala Lab's won't take you order. They do not require a doctor. The recommended test is in the new member document: 24 Hour Iodine Loading Test w/ bromide levels. > > > > > > Hi all, > > > I am new here and have done my best to read all of the recommended material so please excuse me if I missed the answer to this question. > > > I tried to order the recommended Iodine and bromide level test but my doctor doesn't think it is necessary so I am doing it on my own. > > > Is Dr. Flecha's test recommended as well? Guest guest
I have tested for years through Hakala Labs and they did not require a doctor. Are you in the U.S.? Maybe it's different in other countries. BarbF In a message dated 3/6/2011 6:33:29 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, kimlindsey@... writes: Hakala research lab will not take my order without a doctor. Guest guest
I will call Hakala labs again, the man I spoke to told me I had to have a doctor order it but I am happy to hear that maybe I don't. Guest guest
We only recommend the labs listed in the New Member document because not all of them have the correct iodine test, and most labs do not do the bromide test. -- At 07:44 AM 3/7/2011, you wrote: >In the US you can test through the following: > ><http://www.directlabs.com>www.directlabs.com >www.privatemdlabs.com ><http://www.econolabs.com>www.econolabs.com > >I am sure there are others. > >From: iodine [mailto:iodine ] On Behalf Of >Bbircie@... >Sent: Monday, March 07, 2011 6:49 AM >iodine >Subject: Re: Re: Ordering tests without a doctor > > >I have tested for years through Hakala Labs and they did not require a >doctor.
