Guest guest
Vitamin A can have that effect, I can't take it myself. Magnesium would have a calming effect.LinnOn Mar 10, 2011, at 10:38 AM, Jess Tourangeau wrote: This was posted on NTH as well, sorry for the double posting, but it's worrying to say the least! I took my magnesium last night and had some pretty distinct flushing. I looked like I had a nasty sunburn on my face. I could also feel my heart "thumping," more so than usual. I only took 250 of the recommended 400mg. Did anyone else have any trouble adding this one? I also took 200mg of selenium and 10,000 iu vit A at the same time. Thanks!Jess K
Guest guest
You might try a beta carotene version or one that is in daily vitamin like twin labs daily one as possibly the flush is from getting out of balance somehow. Many vitamins and minerals work better as a team and getting too much of one may show a shortage of something else. I got a similar flush from taking Maka, a food, which adds to estrogen release. I didn't connect the 2 until heard a naturalpath mention it.....Those flushes were driving me nuts and I was doing it to myself thinking it was RX medication reaction. Wasn't. I will skip the vit A again tonight and see if I get the same result. Are there any other forms of A I can take, or maybe just a lower dose? Thank you!!!!!!!! Guest guest
A good food source for vitamin A is lamb's liver. Very high. Also squashes, pumpkin which are full of other nutrients as well as being low cost.Pumpkin seeds are a good source of zinc which is not that easy to get from other sources and supplements don't deliver like food.davidFrom: Magallanes <pataviva@...>iodine Sent: Fri, 11 March, 2011 0:27:58Subject: Re: Magnesium Flush? http://www.westonaprice.org/cod-liver-oil/238-cod-liver-oil-basics.html:) From: Jess Tourangeau <jatango@...>iodine Sent: Thu, March 10, 2011 12:21:11 PMSubject: Re: Magnesium Flush?
