Guest guest
This does sound very much like a flu bug that many in my family & church have had down here in Oklahoma. Many have had the recurring fever for over a week and also the tired, drained thing.JudyThey that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. Ps. 124:1From: Cinnamon <cinnamonstix822@...>Subject: 96.6, is this hypoiodine Date: Thursday, March 10, 2011, 9:26 AM Ive been sick for a week thinking its the flu. My husband is away on work so my daughter too me to a clinic since I dont have insurance. He didnt know what to say I have but to drink and get rest. I have been using oreganol oil to knock the infection out and it has been working pretty good on it, since then the nose isnt running as bad and my congestion in my chest isnt staying in there. its the fever that keeps comming and going. and the drained feeling and the lightheadedness. Im still on the couch and cant get up to do more than the bathroom or get something small to eat. My daughters have had to take care of me since I cant stand long enough to cook. Im worried since the bad symptoms are pretty much gone, but the fever keeps comming back and the weakness. Im worn. anyway the thermometer is the digital type. it has gone as high as 100.8 but more likely was a high of 1100.2 now the thing wont get out of celcius mode and its showing that its equal to 96.6 I have to look up on the computer to get what it equals. is this way too low. I have been feeling tired for months and dont have any chance of getting a thyrpoid doctor until I can get insurance so Im not sure what to do. but I keep saying I have to get a thermometer and check my temp. I never run normal, more likely 97 something, but is this too low and does it point to hypo or is there something else that is wrong. what can I do. this clinic I went to has such a bunch of wacky doctors, Im thinking its going to be hard to get them to test me. Ive been thru this before with doctors. so I went to an herbal place and they confirmed a low thyroid. but I want blood work I want to know the numbers Im in Pa if anyone knows of a good doctor. but what can I do until then
Guest guest
but 96.6 temp? Cinnamon, you need a mercury thermometer to make sure you get accurate readings - digital thermos never worked for me.ArielOn Thu, Mar 10, 2011 at 10:59 AM, Judith Marg <judithmarg@...> wrote: This does sound very much like a flu bug that many in my family & church have had down here in Oklahoma. Guest guest
I was charting temps for months, and couldn't get them to stabilise. Was using a drug store digital thermometer.I had 3, and cross checked them against each other. Then I took one with me and cross checked it with the Dr.'s thermometer; all this had me thinking it/they were accurate; WRONG!! I know some say mercury is the only way, but just not practical for us.Anyway, I bought a B-D Basal thermometer, online from Amazon ($9=shipping). Amazingly, my temps instantly stabilised once I started using it. From daily averages jumping from low 97's to low 98's, they tightened right up, with no more than .2 degree difference. So I reccomend them.Jim > > Ive been sick for a week thinking its the flu. Guest guest
Not sure where in PA you live. I live in NW PA. I haven't gone here but Integrative Med Spa seems to be a place that uses natural medicines. http://www.integrativemedspa.com/whoweare.html I haven't gone to see them because I don't have the money to go see anyone right now. But if I had money I'd definitely go and see. > > Ive been sick for a week thinking its the flu. My husband is away on work so my daughter too me to a clinic since I dont have insurance. Guest guest
Thanks all who replied about those thermometers. I guess I can't trust the readings. i did it a few times in a row and sometimes it was the same number, then others it was a different number. any way I did get one of the non mercury ones also. I guess what you're saying is that one isn't reliable either? This is terrible. I hoped that it was really low because maybe that was why I cant get back up to running. Now I am wondering why it is that low, might be the thermometer. I know it is slow now no matter what the thormometer says. I have hair falling out, weight by the pounds, brain fog, very tired, so tired my muscles dont feel they can hardley pick things up and such depression I found a lab online that I might be checking out soon > > > Ive been sick for a week thinking its the flu.
