Hi everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know about an

opportunity I discovered yesterday. Our family just made an appt

with Dr. DePolo @ Kidslink in Twinsburg and the appt was in

January! We were offered 2 slots and we took one! We had tried to

get to see her last year, but were told then she wasn't taking new

clients, so I am thrilled that we got in and the appt is not too far

in the future! (Last year, we ended up seeing a licenced

psychologist whose specialty was not autism, but was very good none-

the-less, but we had to wait 4 months!!) Anyway, as of yesterday,

Dr. DePolo had at least one January slot open, if anyone wants to

take advantage of the opportunity.

This will be the first time we'll be seeing her one on one, though

we have used her group services. We like her a lot. Here's more

about Dr. DePolo from www.kidslinkohio.com:

DePolo, PsyD will be joining the KidsLink family part time

starting in January 2008. She is a licensed pediatric clinical

psychologist. She completed her PsyD in clinical psychology at

State University. She finished a pediatric psychology

clinical fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism

focusing on diagnosis and treatment of autistic spectrum disorders.

She served on the medical staff of The Cleveland Clinic for two

years, prior to working as a pediatric psychologist in the

NeuroDevelopmental Center at Akron Children's Hospital where she was

asked to co-direct the Autism Program. She developed a very

successful social skills training program that most recently served

over 40 patients in 5 groups, with participants ranging in age from

6 to 18 years old. She has lectured widely in our community and has

provided in-school and in-home consultative services. She also

developed a pediatric psychology fellowship program to train future

psychologists to work with patients who have neurodevelopmental

disabilities and oversaw the inception of a new sibling support

program, for siblings of children with developmental disabilities.

She is married and recently had her first child, Jonah
