Guest guest
Could this be related to detox? My son is seven and has been taking 12.5 mg iodoral for about 10 months. The tips of his fingers and his toes, the skin is peeling and it is red underneath. His big toes have split and opened up to sores. There is also peeling skin all on the upper part of his foot and around his toes. It is not itchy like athlete's foot or anything, but it is pretty painful. I have been putting cream on it every night and then socks. Our doc recommended a mixture of Desitin diaper cream plus two other homeopathic creams for burns and contusions. It seems to help a little or at least slowed down the amount of peeling but it is not curing it. He has had this once before and it seemed like the cream healed it or maybe it was soemthing else... I'm not sure what to do for him. He has two MTHFR C mutations which do interfere with detox pathways. He is taking some supplements to help with that. He is also hypothyroid and taking NatureThroid 1/2 grain. We are still testing blood every time we change the dose and have not got his tsh level to the 1-2 level that his endo wants to see it. We go in Friday to see the results of Monday's TSH check. Thanks. Viola
