Guest guest
Just another part of the puzzle, and can't provide link.I read that 2 of the T2 substrates, 3,3 and 3,5 diodo act in the mitochondria of the cells.1 in 'white fat' cells; which is all of the brain that isn't nerves.I figure thats why hypo causes brain fog. Also, low seratonin since its made in the brain.Low seratonin=depression and digestive problems, since only 5% of seratonin is used in the brain.Rest is used in the gut, where it plays a key role in peristalsis. The other T2 substrate acts in the mitochondria of yellow (body) fat cells, and in the liver.HmmmmThe liver is mostly where T4 is converted to T3.Also, the main symptoms of hepatitis are,...(wait for it).. Muscle aches and fatigue! And, the degree the liver damage has progressed is totally unrelated to the amount of damage the virus has done to the liver.I suspect the muscle aches and fatigue may most directly be because the liver damage means less to no conversion of T4 to T3, and is actually a type of secondary hypo.Jim > > _Ferritin, Iron and hypothyroidism | Stop The Thyroid Madnessâ„¢_ > (http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ferritin/) > > here it says that being hypo can result in malabsorption of iron and can > lower your body temp which causes you to make less red blood cells.
