Hi All,

I have been giving my son (5 yrs. old, ASD. weight = 22 kg (48.5 lbs))

MB-12 injections for around a year now (0.056 mcg every alternate

day). Around 5 months ago I started the anti-viral therapy with him,

added the valtrex and diflucan. The dosage for these two has been as

follows;

1. Valacyclovir Hydrochloride (Valtrex), marketed in India by the name

of Valcivir - 3x 500 mg

2. Fluconazole (Diflucan), marketed in India by the name of Forcan 1x 150 mg

No great gains for him as yet but on his 'good' days he has started

sharing information using 3-4 words phrases/sentences. Although this

is not all consistent, I feel encouraged enough to continue.

I have also got his prophyrins test done and apparently he is very

high on mercury and lead. Since there is no certified DAN doctor in

India, chelating him on my own,

seems to be not such a good idea. I was therefore considering giving

him iodine. A long discussion had ensued on the mb12-valtrex group and

I was very impressed by what said about the benefits of giving odine

along with selenium.

My questions to you all are:

1. SHOULD I TRY GIVING IODINE ALONG WITH SELENIUM TO HIM. I HAVE A GUT

FEELING IT MAY WORK.

2. WHAT SOULD BE THE DOSAGE OF IODINE AND SELENIUM FOR A BOY OF HIS

AGE AND WEIGHT?

3. FROM WHERE CAN I ORDER SELENIUM ONLINE?

4. ARE THERE ANY CHILDREN WITH ASD WHO HAVE REPORTED TO BENEFIT FROM

GIVING IODINE? PARENTS PL WRITE IN.

Please do write back.

Regards,

Sarika
