Guest guest
; Interesting point... I only used it a few times a week for about 2 months, whenever I was going out to a restaurant for dinner during the Christmas holidays. Maybe that's why I avoided any side effects. Good to know we're all here to watch out for each other! Thanks... > > Hi everyone, I'm new to this group. I am 17 years old and began > > noticing symptoms when I was 14 . Guest guest
I have started on the drops. I raised it to three drops. So I guess that is 6.6mgs. It scares me a little to raise it up and get sick, as I am so sick all the time anyway. I just read that the body isn't using any of it if I am high in bromides. So do I HAVE to raise it to the point where I detox to do any good? How can I prevent from taking back in Bromides while getting rid of them? I have read that people should go up to 50mgs. How fast should I go up to that level? I have been having night sweats this week and not sure it is that or because I dropped down on my HC. I dropped it on the right course of 2.5 mgs per week. I am down to 25mgs now and not sure it is going to work. Also if I start detoxing, will it require more cortisol and drop my adrenals too? Thanks, Terry
Guest guest
ali - et al.... For those taking 100 mgs plus of Iodoral you might consider the 50 mg tablets, that way you don't have to take so many. You can now get both sizes of Iodoral tablets (12.5 & 50 mg) at iherb.com as well as breastcancerchoices (BCC). I think the prices are similar, but if you order from BCC the ladies wrap the bottles in pink tissue & tie with ribbon & say thank you! Plus, it's a fundraiser for them to support their research.... I started of with 12.5 and gradually over a couple of years worked my way up, because my liver would clog, and I started to get body pain, and ankle swelling, stmptoms of a clogged liver. You just have to pay attn. to your body. Detox side affects for me are headache and itchy skin. That lasts a 2 - days, and then passes. Then I notice I can decrease my desiccated thyroid. So it really is a regime that needs to be tailored to the individual. I always take the full vitamin regime because that is what helps the bromide out of the body, liver and exit through the urine. And for me, I need a few liver detox supplements as well: milk thistle, dandilion, and a liver detox mixture supp. It is important to keep raising it/iodine because as you do that is when the detox occurs, and kicks out the bromide thus saturating the body with iodine. And it takes a few years to detox , just as it took a life time for your body to have the bromide toxicity. As for the adrenals, I have not healed mine yet because I am addicted to caffiene. So, can't claim to know how to heal mine. But they are definitely suffering.
