Is there any information about iodine and autoimmune diseases ?

I know there are some who think it exasperates autoimmune thyroid. What about

those who have neuro-muscular autoimmune disease ? Is iodine helpful or will it

cause additional auto-bodies ?

Any info about this would be helpful.
