Yes it is. There is a crack in the core of #3, the one that exploded a bit earlier. It is slowly leaking and they are scrambling to cool off the other nuclear sites. There are people that have low levels of radiation already and the US marines had to leave shore and go back out far from the leak. They are taking iodine. I'm more worried about their fresh waster and food supplies. As long as they are taking iodine they should be fine.Radiation poisoning signs starts out with GI problems. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. That is how you can tell you are poisoned with high levels. I don't like to be negatived but things are going to get worse before they get better. The protected shield around the 2 cores exposed are gone. They are having troubles cooling the other cores as we speak and they

expect more explosions as they are using the sea water to cool them down.I would more cautious about what is going on then act like there is nothing to worry about. This will be my last comment on this issue since Dr. STEPHNIE said we should let it go for now.Maybe take it to the OT list. from IllinoisFrom: Ann <auntannies2002@...>iodine Sent: Mon, March 14, 2011 7:08:59 AMSubject:

Re: Daughter in Japan Well it appears that this morning the reactor is in melt down. I did figure out that she is approximately 180 miles southeast of the reactor which is good, the wind should carry the cloud away from her. BUT as a couple of people pointed out, drinking water and milk are going to be an issue. I'm going to try to get her to take some form of iodine, whatever she can get her hands on. I'll read up on the information packet from the group and have her get something in the morning. Thanks everyone for your help. Ann > > Hi all, > > I'm worried about my daughter who is stationed at Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan. I can't get a grasp as to whether this radioactive cloud has affected her or not and was wondering if you all could give your opinions on that. Also, I know that there are specific brands or types of iodine that is suggested for use, but what if she can't get those where she is? Are there other options? At this point, would the iodine even help her as she was not able to take it preventatively? > > Thanks so much for your help. > > Ann >

It wasn't me that said to let it go. I was merely commenting on the negative comments being made by a member or two. I did not want the discussion stopped. We need our collective heads to keep up with the information - just not with hysteria. :)
