Hello,

I have recently met with my doctor and discussed gaining his support for

supplementation with iodine to prevent and treat several concerns but primarily

to preclude the development of keloid scarring after my recent surgery. Some

believe that Keloids (raised scars) are formed due to iodine insufficiency as

they do not occur in Japan...He has agreed that it may be of direct benefit. I

went to my pharmacy and interestingly was told Logol's is available only by

prescription now. I am going back to the doctor on Tuesday to get a prescription

but am unclear as to what to ask for. My pharmacy will compound or order in what

we request.

What should I ask for? Is there a benefit to getting a topical mixture to apply

on areas of concern and if so what should it be mixed with...dmso, a gel? I'd

appreciate any guidance you can offer.

All the best!
