My daughter is on low-dose lithium, as well as other meds. I’ve been looking up interactions between potassium iodide and other meds, which lithium is given in every listing. Since she continues to need this low dose lithium, I need to understand about her able to take higher doses of Iodoral. Seems there is very little accurate info on this.

Perhaps it is the form of lithium that is important? For example it seems that

low dose lithium orotate has fewer interactions than other forms.

Here is a link to a VRP Q & A where someone is asking about lithium orotate and

thyroid: http://www.vrp.com/dear-doctor/lithium-orotate-thyroid-4936

And the 20 search results for 'lithium iodine':

http://www.vrp.com/dispatcher?search=iodine%20litlhium & type=DEARDOCTOR & sortOrder\

=RELEVANCE & pageSize=10 & page=1

It doesn't answer your question directly but it can add to your information

gathering, and perhaps it is a place that you could post your question if

someone here is not able to answer definitively.

Here is another article that discusses the work of Dr. Hans Nieper with

orotates:

And Dr. 's article on lithium orotate:

I have also read that lithium helps to distribute iodine throughout the body

but do not have references for that at the moment.
