ODMRDD FUTURES COMMITTEE

INFORMATION ON PUBLIC TESTIMONY

NOVEMBER 26 AND NOVEMBER 30, 2007

The MRDD Futures Committee is seeking public input to the issues being considered for the report due in March, 2008. Four Subcommittees, Accessing Services and Supports, Delivering Quality Services, Financing and Serving Populations with Specialized Needs are meeting to discuss a broad array of issues facing the MRDD system in Ohio. For information on the issues being considered in MRDD Futures, visit the website: www.mrdd.ohio.gov/futures.

Public testimony will be limited to 3-5 minutes, but any length written comments can be submitted in person or through the MRDD Futures Website via an email to: Futures-Feedback@.... We are encouraging everyone who wishes to testify to notify the Department via e-mail so that we can accommodate as many as possible during the scheduled times. When registering, please include your name, where you are from, if you are a family member, consumer, provider, associated with a County Board of MRDD, and what issues you would like to provide information about. We are asking for this information so we can assure that we get a good balance of the issues and interests represented. Every effort will be made to accommodate everyone wishing to testify within the time available. All written comments will be reviewed and made available for review on the website. Written comments can be submitted via e-mail or US Mail. Please send any mailed comments to: ODMRDD, 1810 Sullivant Ave., Columbus, OH 43223, attn. Walsh. Anyone wishing to provide written comments can do so at any point in time during the MRDD Futures process.
