But based on posts I read here, 1 mg doesn't seem like a high dose. Iodine has a long half life, so I thought I'd try taking these once a week. Or is there another form that is intrinsically better?Would this do anything for radiation or are there certain types of iodine for that? Guest guest
Doris That is tiny dose but higher than miniscule RDA of 150 mcg. There is big difference between mg and mcg. The authorities are recommending 130mg for radiation but only think in terms of once. The body needs it every day and this won't be over in a day. Lugols solution and iodoral are found on line and the ones this list uses. Bentonite is a cleanse used to treat Chernobyl victims and used safely for other toxins too like chemotherapy. Likely you can still find that at a health store. Possibly you could find kelp. Hope this helps you. Guest guest
Acne is a bromide detox symptom. It not the iodine, except that the iodine kicks bromides off the cell receptors and then they are freely circulating in the body and causing symptoms. Acne means your detox pathways aren't working well, so it's coming out the skin instead of urine. Radiation: You need potassium iodide to protect the thyroid. So what you need is Lugol's or SSKI. As recommended, please read the New Member doc, it addresses the detox issues. Radiation is not however addressed there. But we have been discussing radiation at length the last few days and I have posted dosing information more than once, the subject line begins " Dosing... " You can check the older posts on the website archives. -- At 05:46 PM 3/15/2011, you wrote: >Please read the new member documents. Guest guest
Yes, I saw that posted several times in the archives. What I didn't see was anybody saying what to DO about it. Guest guest
Doris, The acne was likely detox (though you were on a pretty low dose) and would have subsided once your body was able to rid itself of the toxins. You will definitely find a wealth of info in the new member doc in the files section on dosing, detox, etc. Lexy > > Hi > I got interested in iodine last year because I eat sea salt and not table salt. Guest guest
i found what you said interesting. Do you know or can you point me to info regarding how one can get the bodys proper detox pathways working properly again. > > Acne is a bromide detox symptom.
