The sad thing is the Japanese Government told the tsunami and earthquake survivors to tape themselves in their houses in the nuclear zone. That is 140,000 people that never got rescued yet. Many of them have no houses left  to tape up. The death toll of this nuclear catastrophe will be so overwhelming. Like Chernobyl there will be a zone that won't be habitable for who knows how long. Half life of Plutonium is 120,000 years. These 3 plants each were 3% plutonium and had 20 years of stored waste in ponds.

The  trade winds will hit the Western US tonite with the nuclear fallout from three melting nuclear plants that are 40 years old and had 20 years of stored waste in them. They were built and designed to withstand a 7.5 earthquake. The earthquake that hit them was more than ten times as strong. They shut down as all of our are programmed to do with an earthquake and 100 aftershocks over 5.0

The problem that overwhelmed these reactors is a chain reaction caused by fires now with these side by side reactors in a row. The tsunami was not part of the design and it knocked out their water cooling systems. Some plants in US have gravity feed for this situation so a valve can be turned to cool the pool of waste. Sadly that was a newer design.

If you can't find iodine or iodoral or lugols or  potasium iodide then get some bentanite which is volcanic ash. Should be available there in natural food stores or supplement shops. That is what they treated the victims of chernobyl with. Those were baby doses compared to this. That plant was 3 months old. These have 20 years of waste stored and are 40 years old and are 25 biggest list in world. There is 3 times as much plutonium as usual.

This is a catastrophe but we do what we can to survive. 97% of Americans are deficient in iodine. All the cells use it. We won't get the truth anytime soon from anybody. Reading today 900,000 NPR died from impact of Chernobyl in 52 affected countries-40,000 in US so far died prematurely. Most wouldn't connect their cancers to it. Read Deadly Deception.

Bentonite was used to treat the victims of Chernobyl.Take 1T of liquid  bentonite and glass of water every night for 5 days.If you only find dry bentonite then add enough water to make thick as mush and take 1T of that. Likely need it awhile. No idea how long at this point. Bentonite will gooble up all the toxins in your body whether radioactive or not. No taste really and safe. Adjust for children by their weight. Children are more vulnerable as they are rapid growing. Thyroid cancer is the only one they talk about but likely not the only one that happens.N95 paint masks are another cheap safety device especially in the rain.

It is invisible but don't stick your head in the sands of denial. UK news and some others are covering this honestly. We haven't built a new nuclear plant here since 1979 but they are working on getting the process going again. Obviously not enough of us took action.

The problem was the tsunami. They shut down with the first earthquake but there is still slow melting going on. That is why the delay as none of their cooling systems worked because of water damage so unable to get diesel generators going and used seawater which is corrosive and only short term solution. Hugs to all of you. Pam

Thanks for this Pam!

Hi Pamela,

I have to admit, this is one time I was pleased to look at the 10 day forcast and see rain every single day. Hopefully this will help wash some of the radiation out of the air. Unfortunately, it will just be out of the air, but will still be radiation in the water then...or in the ground it seeps into.... Well Pam,

I don't know whether to start off with "thank you" or "well crap!" or both. I guess both. Seriously, thank you. I would not have known. Will do my best to stay safe here. You do the same.
