Guest guest
Goiters are caused by iodine deficiency. There is sometimes TEMPORARY swelling of the thyroid when it first feels a surge in iodine, but other than that, iodine tends to shrink goiters.AnneOn Mar 15, 2011, at 9:02 AM, Corbin Alan wrote: I just got new test results and was wondering if I should be taking Iodine, armour or both could reduce the size of my goiter? Guest guest
I took it a year ago and my goiter doubled in size. I started with mcg's and went ot 150 mgs. In 2 weeks it had doubled in size. I was also taking 200 mcg selenium, seasalt, C, D, B, and magnesium. What if I took armour w/ it? Thanks, Alan > > > I just got new test results and was wondering if I should be taking > > Iodine, armour or both could reduce the size of my goiter? > > It seems to grow faster when I take one of the above. > > WBC 11.7 range 4.0-10.5 > > Thyroid Panel w/ THS > > TSH 0.260 range 0.450-4.50 > > Thyroxine T4 5.3 range 4.5-12 > > T3 Uptake 28 range 24-39 > > free thyroxine index 1.5 range 1.2-4.9 > > Thyroxine (T4) Free .79 range 0.82-1.77 > > TPO 9 range 0-34 > > Antithyroidglobulin Ab <20 range 0-40 > > Triiodothyronine 4.0 range 2.0-4.4 > > > > Thank You, > > Alan > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Alan,Please tell the rest of the story. So in the first two weeks it doubled. What happened after that? Did you continue taking iodine? Is it still doubled in size? Did it shrink? We need to know what you did and what happened afterward also!
