I checked the options from yesterday and they are all out of stock now. :(

Buist, ND

Is there Iodoral available anywhere?

If anyone knows of the sites that still have Iodoral please list again. I accidently deleted the sites posted yesterday. Also, there are so many postings dealing with the crisis in Japan. May I ask that people change the subject line when switching topics.

Thanks,

I bought Iodoral at www.iherb.com last night. I got 30 tablets of

Iodoral-50 for $26.40 and free shipping because I spent over $40.

Iherb.com was cheaper than breastcancerchoices.org (is that the

correct URL?) which was actually completely sold out of all Iodoral.

PS: If anybody is going to order from iherb.com you can get $5 off

your first order if you are a new customer and you use my referral

code: CUY550 (and I will get a few cents commission...) I'm trying

to raise money to pay for my medical treatment....

Here's a bit more information about iherb.com's referral program:

Feel free to share your iHerb unique referral code, CUY550 or your

email address with anyone who has never ordered from iHerb before.

Print your referral code, twitt it, post it on your face book, or

simply email it to your friends and relatives. They will save $5 on

their first order. And you will receive a commission from all their

purchases. Read More

Our local health food store has it in stock. Once I receive confirmation that

my daughter's online order was successfully received last night, I'll post the

information for the store. She was supposed to buy it a few weeks ago for our

dog and now is having trouble finding it because of what's going on in Japan.

That's where my daughter ordered hers. I got in touch with the company and they

said they are out of it and are waiting on a shipment later today to start

filling orders. The rep couldn't really even tell me that they would be able to

fill all the order they already have and couldn't guarantee that my daughter

would receive hers.

I had ordered from them when it was instock on the 15th and they cancelled my order 3 days later saying it was out of stock and they don't accept back orders. The nuclear scare has put a rush on the product and now you can't find it anywhere accept at double normal price.

They say it is natural state iodine, 99.99 per cent pure, in liquid

form. Does anyone have any idea of whether this will actually work in

relation to radiation, and if so, at what dose? Thanks, Sara

Below is the information they give about their 'natural state iodine'.

Understanding Our Iodine

We produce Potassium Iodide in a natural state. This is not a homeopathic

remedy. It is the real iodine in a natural state without using alcohol and

without the impurities that would follow. Our potassium iodide is by nature

organic, water soluble crystals in the right size and right form for the body to

use. It is recognized by the body as food and virtually all is used with no

waste of minerals. The water soluble crystals are so small that well over 1

million would be necessary in a straight line to cross a colloidal mineral.

All of our minerals are produced in this manner to provide the most amazing,

safe absorption possible.

The result is what you see as clear, odorless, colorless and tasteless potassium

iodide in its natural state.

from what I've read, SSKI is the best one for protecting from nuclear radiation; if not, Lugol's etc will do OK.SSKI comes in crystals which are very cheap and you can make a whole year's supply for about $20.00. Order from an aquarium supply house online or near you and it will be cheaper than most but still high quality because basically SSKI is SSKI they can't fiddle with additives etc.

Also, crystal form may be easier to get now that so many places are sold out. People don't like crystal because they're not sure how to mix. But just add enough water so that all crystals are saturated and you'll be fine. That's what we do.

with both KI (potassium iodide) and elemental iodine both, because the body

needs both forms. But in terms of protecting the thyroid, SSKI will do

that very well.

SSKI typically has about 20mg per drop.

Is this true? Can you get the KI crystals just anywhere like aquarium stores and it be safe? Please don't take offense Ariel. Just wanted to confirm.

The reason SSKI is so prevalent in the literature is because that is the

form that the thyroid uses (potassium iodiDe). Lugol's or Iodoral are

plenty good for protection from radiation, particularly for people who are

already taking iodine supplementation. The only difference is that you

have to take more Lugol's/Iodoral to get the same amount of KI overall

(potassium iodide). And, many very important sources say that protecting

the rest of the body is important, so having the mix of types is STILL the

best approach for long term health.

But, for people who are not supplementing regularly with iodine, for

protection from radiation in the classic format, SSKI is better because you

have to take even more iodine overall with Lugol's/Iodoral to get the same

amount of KI. This leads to bigger detox symptoms, as I saw in our own

household.

Also, just fyi, SSKI stands for " super-saturated potassium iodide " , and

refers only to the liquid version. KI is the chemical name for potassium

iodide crystals.

In general we have supported buying minerals from aquarium stores because

fish are so sensitive they have to sell top quality materials.

Similarly, natural products made for horses can be depended on to be of

very high quality, because of how sensitive horses are and how demanding

their owners are. So one can buy MSM from a horse-supply outfit and be

confident about it. fyi.

,

In general, if I'm on 25-50mg/day of iodoral, how much KI or SSKI should one

take?

Thanks,
