Guest guest
Someone on the discussing NT group posted this today that I thought I would forward along: " You can monitor the radiation level in Japan here: http://park18.wakwak.com/~weather/geiger_index.html The bottom graph is from 100 days ago for reference as to what is normal. The top graph shows current. As you can see, the radiation level peaked some time yesterday (Japan's time is 7 hours earlier than our west coast time but tomorrow, i.e., it is 17 hours later) and currently is near normal. The numbers correspond to the ones used on the map we're following http://www.radiationnetwork.com/ Denver typically hovers around 60. Japan only barely reached that level. Japan's radiation level right now is lower than San Francisco's. This makes it clear why the reports are currently saying that we are in no danger of getting a radiation cloud from Japan. Watching these numbers will give you an excellent heads up about when and if we should start worrying. Gail P.S. My son lives in Tokyo. He sent me the url for the Japan radiation tracking. " It helped eased my mind a little knowing I can follow the radiation levels there and if they are low then that gives us a clue as to how much we would be getting right? I wonder if they are monitoring the levels upstream or downstream of where the radiation would be traveling though. That I do not know.
