Guest guest
I want to raise my 6.25 mg iodine dose to 12mg and I know that could stress the adrenals and I'd like to know what product do you advise ashwagandha or rhodiola? Is ashwagandha for high cortisol? Thank you,
Guest guest
, do you have adrenal fatigue? If not, I didn’t find a dose as low as 12mg stressed my adrenals. But I do take ashwaganda as it is supposed to adapt to whatever the body needs. Make sure you are also taking the companion nutrients (including Celtic Sea Salt as the adrenals love salt!) Kathleen ashwagandha or rodholia? I want to raise my 6.25 mg iodine dose to 12mg and I know that could stress the adrenals and I'd like to know what product do you advise ashwagandha or rhodiola? Guest guest
I have early AF (cortisol on the high side at all points, out-of-range morning and early evening). I just got up to 185mg of Lugols (not planning on going any higher). I am also just up to 300mg rhodiola/day. I'm feeling pretty good, actually. Jaye > > , do you have adrenal fatigue? Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, I think I've been hypo since 8 years and I think my adrenals worked a lot... in October my urin cortisol was low and last month it was normal; I can't do a salivary test, because we don't have salivary kits in France... Which brand of Ashwagandha do you take? I see on iherb.com that there are many kinds od Ashwagandha (somniferia too). Do you know what is the diferrence between Ashwagandha and Rhodiola? I heard a lot abour Rhoidiola too. About the salt: is any unrefined salt good? Thank you. > > , do you have adrenal fatigue? If not, I didn't find a dose as low as 12mg stressed my adrenals. Guest guest
Hi , I use Jarrow brand Ashwaganda ( I order it from iherb)., I haven’t tried Rhodiola, so I can't speak for that. I would bet if you google you could find out what the difference between the two are. I use Celtic Sea Salt, harvested off the coast of Brittany, it's my favourite. I know others like Real Salt and some others. For me, Celtic works best. And being in France I would think it will be easy for you to get. Are you taking the other companion nutrients? They are most important as well. Best, Kathleen ashwagandha or rodholia?> > > > I want to raise my 6.25 mg iodine dose to 12mg and I know that could stress the adrenals and I'd like to know what product do you advise ashwagandha or rhodiola? Guest guest
Ashagandha is an adaptogen; my holistic doctor told me that it works both ways: it moderates in either direction to bring the body into balance.Just be careful to be ashwagandha made in the U.S. or Europe. Ashwagandha made in India or Pakistan may well have heavy metal contaminants in it. (Google " ayurvedic supplements India " and see what I mean.) Guest guest
I have taken organic ashwaghanda with good results. My low daytime cortisol levels are now normal, but night time is still high. I buy mine from organic india. Here is the link and it is on sale: http://organicindiausa.com/_product_5842/Ashwagandha_Formula Their tulsi tea (holy basil) is very good as well. It helps lower high cortisol and helps with immunity. I don't know the dosages for what you'd have to take to lower the cortisol. All I know is the teas tastes good.
