, I'm glad (or should I say I'm sorry!) to hear about the facial pain you experience. I get an intense clenching effect that I wake up in the night the morning after I have taken an increase in my Iodoral along with an excruciating headache....even tho I have salt loaded that day and may go to bed a bit foggy, this has happened every time I increase. With all the clenching and teeth grinding, I can't help but imagine the mercury fumes a rising!!! Makes me want to blow and stick my head out the window!!! In my experience, I hope you are correct for your sake, but I doubt it.

Over the last many years I have been using one or more of the following all know to have detox effects: Kombucha tea, Kefir, raw milk yogurt, water kefir, spirulina, chlorella and living clay and juicing. I also keep to a relatively clean diet most of the time and have done the master cleanse and juice fasts several times.

I have been on the iodine protocol for about 4 months. At first, and when I increase, I have/had intense facial pain (near where my fillings are), and I continue to experience very hypo like fatigue. I know that this is detox, because I was off of the supps for a few days and felt great.

Keep us posted on your experience, I find it all so fascinating.

Tammy I have worn a bit guard since I was 22 or 23 yrs old - I am 45 yrs old now. But the funny thing is that I am wondering if I need it anymore. I had a new one made because my old one was cracked and ground down so much. But I have had this new one for 2+ years and there are no signs of grinding. Even a few years ago I would wake up with clenched jaws and pains in the muscles of my jaw - have bad TMJ - and headaches. I couldn't figure out why it happened. I no longer have this. I wake up without pain and as I said my splint isn't getting ground down. I removed all 11 amalgam fillings (safely) and had my root canal tooth pulled. I began to chelate over the next 3 years from the mercury and this helped me with fatigue. When I would stop taking the DMSA I would get really fatigued again. I had homeopathy called Mercurius Viv and Clinatro Drops that I took at night and that helped along with magnesium and Vit C plus more salt. It's hard to get all this toxic stuff out and it reeks havoc on us.

You can a get a bite guard at the drugstore or Wal-mart that may help you with the release of mercury due to grinding - you are right it is doing that. The ones from your dentist are around $400.

Why did you get your root canal tooth pulled? I think I need one, but I'm so

worried about seeing a mainstream dentist (which is what I'm going to get with

insurance) and don't want to put the extra money out for a holistic one right

now.

It's better/safer to lose the tooth than get a root canal?

Thanks,

Sherry

Because they are dangerous. I read the Root Canal Cover up and it was horrible. When my dentist pulled it there was black sludge under the tooth and necrosis of the jaw.

The biologic dentist claim about root canals is that only the largest central portion of the tooth can be cleaned out, & that there are LOTS of microscopic tubules that can harbor infectious organisms, which then set up a chronic state of inflammation in the body. Once a tooth is dead, the blood stream cannot carry antibiotics into the tooth, but the bacteria can move OUT of the tooth as they grow.In my own case, I had a root canaled tooth that died without causing any symptoms, & the infection moved up through the jaw bone into the sinuses. The tooth was root-canaled twice (after I started having symptoms) but there was no way to reach the infection up in the jaw bone, which was FAR outside the tooth. When I finally went to a biologic dentist, she removed the tooth & a large chunk of my jaw -- & I still had to use a neti pot for the sinus side of the infection for a LONG time. There are a few biologic dentists who root canal teeth & treat them with ozone to kill off the organisms in the tubules, but others say that there is simply no way to get all the infection out. A lot of people believe that it is not worth the risk. But if you are going to risk it, by all means, seek a biologic dentist who will address infection outside the tooth.AnneOn Jan 3, 2011, at 3:32 PM, lookonthebriteside wrote: , Why did you get your root canal tooth pulled? I had to do my root canal twice. The flare up the 2nd time came when I was diagnosed with cancer. Take a look at a holistic dental chart. They tie teeth to organs. I think you will be surprised at what your tooth is tied to - mine was thyroid and I had thyroid cancer.

I remember reading that Dr. Hans Neiper and other holistic doctors in Germany, first thing they do when presented with a cancer patient, is to check the teeth, reverse root canals, pull out dead teeth. Many recover just from doing that alone. Kathleen

Yes that is what Dr. B did to me too. Looked in my mouth and said "Wow that's a lot of mercury". When I had them removed and the tooth pulled I started to improve - fatigue wise and lost 10 lbs and my markers started to come down.
