Bromide Toxicity may not be the only culprit

Something interesting...

When I went to Dr. Rose of my alternative doctors...

Tyramine showed up on her tests for me.

As I was researching...toxic levels can cause headaches ( which I have had

pretty constant for about 4 months) and heart palpitations ( which you all know

I've been dealing with off and on)..

Just thought it was interesting.

She put me on a lymph II tonic with a homeopathic level of tyramine to detox

from it.

There are certainly foods that I eat all the time that have it...and for a time

here I will get off of those...like avocados...which I love :-( Since I've

taken the lymph II tonic I have had no more headaches.

I continue on the 3 iodoral and still have my thyroid meds cut in half.

Interesting thing...the weight is falling off me, skin is no longer dry, the

skin irritations that itch are 60% better, I have MORE energy...have not salt

loaded yet but will do tomorrow as I have that metal taste in my mouth and the

urinating urgency symptom sometimes.

Just checking in...

Amy

Thank you for posting this, Amy, as an update to your health concerns and

concerns that iodine might have produced certain distressing symptoms,

including heart palpitations, that you've been able to determine in fact

was not caused by iodine. This is very interesting indeed. In addition to

some persons being more sensitive than others to tyramine, it turns out

that people taking MAO inhibitors are extremely vulnerable to tyramine and

are being told by the Mayo Clinic (ie Western medicine) to adhere to a

tyramine-free diet.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/maois/HQ01575

It also turns out that migraine sufferers are also extremely sensitive to

tyramine.

Because so many people are taking MAO inhibitors, this is a really

important thing to keep in mind-- if someone reports heart palps on iodine,

we need to ask them if they are on MAO inhibitors and point them to this

information.
