Guest guest
It is all so conflicting to me. I am on Cortef and am told to not do any cleanses by the adrenal group. How can I ever right my body, detox, take iodine etc if one step always prevents the next step. How can the adrenals heal if the body is toxic? I am really frustrated by all this. It would be so nice if in a perfect world there would be one protocol for adrenal/thyroid that all groups could agree on. Just venting a little. I just know I need iodine. I have many cherry angiomas now and also many more moles all over and know I'm full of toxins that my liver is unable to get rid of. Sorry just really frustrated after feeling like I'm running in circles looking for answers. Guest guest
Hey , I hear both you and Gracia, only thing is I've experienced leg swelling and stopped taking my sea salt. . Thanks for the link on the vit's I will check it out. I do take Milk Thistle on and off. I did try iodine 12.5 for a few days before and got a huge canker and so I stopped but that may have been too soon after my surgery. After my appendix surgery I had the swelling and then again after one time in years I had a few drinks, danced and stayed up until 4:30am on New Years Eve. Last night I had some braggs amino soy sauce and today I don't have swelling but feel I'm definitely holding water. I do 3-4000 vit c every day already and have been doing salt for a the last year. Well thanks for the feedback you both give me, I will see what the next step is. hugs > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello and happy new year to all, > > > > I am on NTH and HC(trying to lower from 40) but not iodine (yet) and > > have > > > > suspected for a while now I might have a congested liver and am also > > > > recently experienced edema 2 x's (stopped my sea salt and it went away) > > so > > > > not sure if kidney issue too. > > > > As iodine detoxes would it be advisable for me to make sure that I my > > liver > > > > is optimium as well as my kidneys before I start. > > > > > > > > tx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
, ....writing to encourage you...... I have (I should say had because I am overcoming in the strength of the Lord) SEVERE adrenal fatigue. Iodine is hard to handle when you have such adrenal stress.......BUT you still need it. You heal with it. People are going to have varying opinions. One of my best friends is hypothyroid and on Synthroid and I simply cannot convince her about natural thyroid and iodine. She really puts up with me because it's all I can talk about. One day she will probably end up with the adrenal stress that I am living, and maybe then I can help her (and I don't mean that prideful or anything, I just truly want to help.) I know it is real and true because I am living it. You have to try it for yourself. In July one 12.5 mg Iodoral almost killed me, or at least I thought it was going to. It was actual bromide reaction, you know.... BUT if it hadn't been for taking that one little pill and trying it for myself, I would never have known nor believed any of this was real. It's real, alright. And I'm sure that is why the adrenal group says not to take any. That kind of reaction is hard to deal with. But guess what. I'm taking 75 mg now!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I would have never thought that my adrenally stressed body could handle it. But I believe the iodine is actually HEALING my adrenals, and thyroid, and who knows what else. I had a little clear skin tag like mole on my chest that is almost completely disappeared! I'm pushing through the detox and no, it is not fun, and no, it is not pretty, and GOD BLESS MY POOR HUSBAND who has to put up with my headaches and crying and wondering when and I REALLY going to be better....like completely healed. But every time I go up more on the iodine, I detox for a couple days and then guess what???? I have SO much more energy! It's hard to believe but it's true. " Go ahead Mikie, and try it, you'll like it!!! " lol Tammy > > > > > > > > > > > Hello and happy new year to all, > > > I am on NTH and HC(trying to lower from 40) but not iodine (yet) and have > > > suspected for a while now I might have a congested liver and am also > > > recently experienced edema 2 x's (stopped my sea salt and it went away) so > > > not sure if kidney issue too. > > > As iodine detoxes would it be advisable for me to make sure that I my liver > > > is optimium as well as my kidneys before I start. > > > > > > tx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Holy Cow Tammy, Thank you so much. That is amazing and I thank you for explaining it all to me what you have experienced and I'm sure that you aren't the only one who has experienced this but you really gave me some great insight. When you say weak adrenals, were you on HC So did you ever have to stress dose during the bad times or did you just salt load? I wanted to do a 5 day liver cleanse from a book called the Detox Solution by Fitzgerald first and see how I am with that and then start iodine. I too have that same clear little bugger on my chest! Ha! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello and happy new year to all, > > > > I am on NTH and HC(trying to lower from 40) but not iodine (yet) and have > > > > suspected for a while now I might have a congested liver and am also > > > > recently experienced edema 2 x's (stopped my sea salt and it went away) so > > > > not sure if kidney issue too. > > > > As iodine detoxes would it be advisable for me to make sure that I my liver > > > > is optimium as well as my kidneys before I start. > > > > > > > > tx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Geeze, you guys have been through so much. It is amazing how far you have come Pam and I am so lucky to have you share it with me. What were you doing for adrenal support if any at all when you started? Some days I feel good as new and the other I feel 50% better than what I did before I started anything. I worry I will never get off Cortef, have suppressed my adrenals, want to know if I did and worry about my liver. What test(s) do you do to see how the liver is doing? I would like to see just how good mine is (or bad). Thanks again for taking your time to tell me your success story Pam! Hugs > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello and happy new year to all, > > > > > > I am on NTH and HC(trying to lower from 40) but not iodine (yet) > > and have > > > > > > suspected for a while now I might have a congested liver and am > > also > > > > > > recently experienced edema 2 x's (stopped my sea salt and it went > > away) so > > > > > > not sure if kidney issue too. > > > > > > As iodine detoxes would it be advisable for me to make sure that I > > my liver > > > > > > is optimium as well as my kidneys before I start. > > > > > > > > > > > > tx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
, I have found that my adrenal stress came from my scars, mainly from surgeries and scars from acute inflammation. Every time I experience some sort of trauma, my adrenals take a hit. I have 100% success of supporting the adrenals by using iodine topically on the areas. I use Iosol because it works well for me, doesn't stain nor sting. Others you Lugol's. When I was muscle tested, the test showed that my C-section scar was causing my adrenals to crash. I recently had a live blood reading by probably the best doc in the country, Dr. Bigelsen, who knows how to see holograms in the blood and he said my biggest contributor to my inflammation were my varicose vein scars. I have been putting iodine on those scars and the churning of my stomach is pretty much gone. My favorite liver support is Antronex, 15 tabs per day, along with Milk Thistle. MSM also supports glutathione. MSM was responsible for fixing me when I was in my forties. Guest guest
, I was not on any HC at the time I started Iodoral. I actually didn't know I had adrenal fatigue/hypothyroidism because I had just had a baby that April before it happened to me in July. I thought I was just " tired " and I am 37 having my 3rd baby after all lol. It was the iodine that led me to find out why my body could not handle it. I was not a member of this group yet, just trusting a friend's recommendation to take some because it is healthy, etc... we are all deficient, etc... She neglected to tell me about bromism, I guess because she had no idea I was so toxic! I am very thankful now of coarse, but as far as my detox effects, someone else asked....so here are some details: I didn't know about salt loading or any of the supporting nutrients so nothing was on board. I thought I was going to die! I called my friend Pat (love you!) and she got on here and started asking what should I do. The side effects didn't start happening to me until that night or even worse the next couple of days. I had severe blurry vision, like something was in my eyes. I thought I was on another planet or something, I don't know how I drove. Now I know that was " brain fog " . There was a nasty metal taste in my mouth and other side effects like bad sensitivity to light. Anyway, all my Mom had at her house was Vitamin C and epsom salt and iodized salt. I salt loaded and took C and made several trips to the bathroom! It took me several DAYS to get over it and I didn't try again with the Iodoral until a month or so later when I figured all of this out and had the supporting nutrients, etc... I didn't have HC until a couple of weeks after I started the Iodoral again. It wasn't pretty as I said, but when I did start the doctor gave me cortisone acetate (which I hear is not as good) and only 10 mg. But anyway, I am at 20-30 mg of cortisol now and doing a lot better. Still, it is taking a while, but I am just thankful because there are so many people who are suffering with this disease process and do not even know it. That is why I am more than happy to share what has happened to me. I know a lot of my friends and family believe me, it's the ones who do not that I commit to praying for. God just has to open their eyes like He does about everything! I pray you will find the right thing to do and that the Lord will heal you in His good time. Guest guest
HI! Tammy, I admire your strength. It really is great to here more. I will just listen to my gut and do what I can and see how it goes. Still grappling with the high dose of Cortef I'm on and worried I've surpressed my adrenals per the info I'm getting from the natural adrenal group. Thank you for reaching out and helping. hugs > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello and happy new year to all, > > > > > > I am on NTH and HC(trying to lower from 40) but not iodine (yet) and have > > > > > > suspected for a while now I might have a congested liver and am also > > > > > > recently experienced edema 2 x's (stopped my sea salt and it went away) so > > > > > > not sure if kidney issue too. > > > > > > As iodine detoxes would it be advisable for me to make sure that I my liver > > > > > > is optimium as well as my kidneys before I start. > > > > > > > > > > > > tx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi Pam, Are you thyroidless? Did an MD run those tests for you or a naturopath? I did do ultra clear once but if I do the same thing every day develop another food sensitivity. I started to feel unwell on it after one jar so thought that was what was happening. Maybe I could do it on my day I eat rice , every 4 days? I will check into the Advaclear, think I can get it without a naturopath at a store close by. No problemo sleeping, I get 8 hours and need 9 if not 10 but don't get that. You must be so proud of how far you have come. It is stories like yours and Tammy's that keep us going when we feel like banging our heads against a brick wall! hugs > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello and happy new year to all, > > > > > > > > I am on NTH and HC(trying to lower from 40) but not iodine > > (yet) > > > > and have > > > > > > > > suspected for a while now I might have a congested liver and am > > > > also > > > > > > > > recently experienced edema 2 x's (stopped my sea salt and it > > went > > > > away) so > > > > > > > > not sure if kidney issue too. > > > > > > > > As iodine detoxes would it be advisable for me to make sure > > that I > > > > my liver > > > > > > > > is optimium as well as my kidneys before I start. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > tx > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Now, now play nice Gracia. You know, like liver cleanse, gall bladder cleanse, yeah I guess anything to detox the body. I believe her take on it is that anything like that will stress the adrenals even more as the body works hard to get rid of the bad stuff, but then if the bad stuff makes us sick then how are we to get better if we don't? > > > > > > Val on Natural thyroid hormone adrenals said no cleansing while on > > hyrdocortisone. > > > > -- > > >

Guest guest
Oh , So good for you! You are a pillar of strength. I am sad that you have suffered so and hope that making these changes brings nothing but increased health and happiness. You didn't quit HC cold turkey did you? I thought that is dangerous and could cause an adrenal crash or worse? What was you dose when you quit and how long were you on it? Curious. As for the sex, my hubs will be happy to here that, me I've kind of lost that mojo but know I have to make an effort more. Thanks for the tips and I will read up on the tapping. I left yoga for a while now but it is calling me back and want to incorporate it into my day somehow again. hugs > > >> > > > > >> > > > > >> > > Val on Natural thyroid hormone adrenals said no cleansing while on > > >> > > hyrdocortisone. > > >> > > > > >> > > -- > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ > > --A.J.
