Guest guest
Hi!Please be patient! J we are just people with everyday lives, so aren’t always on the computer. You might not get responses for a couple of days just because those who might answer are not on every day. But I will throw in my thoughts. High rT3 is very often a liver problem. Liver cleansing/support will help clear it up, and will also get your body clearing out toxins better. As to the glandular, what does the dulse contribute from a vitamin/mineral standpoint? Many of us here have had great success with the iodine protocol, partly because it is a high enough dose to really feed our starved bodies. My guess is that the glandular does not really give enough to help you. Before I started the iodine protocol, I tried several glandulars, and they never really helped. It just wasn’t enough. Iodine will feed your body, and will very much help your body in fighting Lyme. You may need thyroid meds also to give your body the proper running level. While some people have had the iodine make them need less or be able to stop thyroid meds, many still need them. I need both, and it is fine with me, because I finally feel much better taking both! The iodine does much more in your body than just help your thyroid, it helps many other areas also. Read Dr. Brownstein’s book on Iodine to get a full picture. I know that my whole family is on the whole very healthy since being on iodine. We rarely get colds or flu, like maybe once every 2-3 years, and we are often in group situations where germs are passed easily. Hope that helps!Donna in IL Nobody?>> How's everybody doing?> > I'm from lymenet : )> Have been treating Lyme for over a year> I'm on an anti-parasite and herbal protocol> > I'm obviously here for a reason - adrenal/thyroid issues> I've got the adrenals covered and have slowly started to recover them - but my thyroid doesn't seem to wanna come around.> > I have high rT3 and have NOT tested positive for Hashi's (antibodies)> > I'm interested in either iodine or glandulars to help get my thyroid up and running again.> > My biggest complaints are hair loss, some constipation, weight loss, cold hands and feet often, etc> > > **Someone recommended a product to me called T-100> Ingredients: 400mg Dulse, 300mg Tyrosine, Thyroid 100mg, Adrenal 50mg, Pituitary 15mg, Thymus 5mg> > What do you guys think of that? ^^> Opinions of Glandlulars?> > PS: I'm not a newbie to the endocrine syste - I'm very well-versed.> I was recommended to come here to talk in depth> > Thanks guys> >
Guest guest
Thanks - and sorry i wasn't trying to be impatient - I just wanted to bump the thread back up : ) Ya I'm wondering if I need iodine to help bounce thryoid back. Good advice on liver supporting (I do that already) I'm desperately worried about overtaxing my adrenals with iodine supplementation though : / > > > > How's everybody doing? > > > > I'm from lymenet : ) > > Have been treating Lyme for over a year > > I'm on an anti-parasite and herbal protocol > > > > I'm obviously here for a reason - adrenal/thyroid issues > > I've got the adrenals covered and have slowly started to recover them - but my thyroid doesn't seem to wanna come around. > > > > I have high rT3 and have NOT tested positive for Hashi's (antibodies) > > > > I'm interested in either iodine or glandulars to help get my thyroid up and running again. > > > > My biggest complaints are hair loss, some constipation, weight loss, cold hands and feet often, etc > > > > > > **Someone recommended a product to me called T-100 > > Ingredients: 400mg Dulse, 300mg Tyrosine, Thyroid 100mg, Adrenal 50mg, Pituitary 15mg, Thymus 5mg > > > > What do you guys think of that? ^^ > > Opinions of Glandlulars? > > > > PS: I'm not a newbie to the endocrine syste - I'm very well-versed. > > I was recommended to come here to talk in depth > > > > Thanks guys > > > > > > ________________________________ >
Guest guest
When I first started on Iodine (50 mgs Iodoral) I was fighting cancer and had just had a radiation treatment that trashed my adrenals. They were so bad that when I went from lying down to standing up I would see stars and everything would go black and I would almost pass out. I took Biotics Research Cytozyme AD as an adrenal support along with all the nutrients recommended here as part of the protocol and was just fine. Guest guest
Hi , Just thought I would let you know about another option along with Iodine for Thyroid. In fact, in taking it, I am no longer having to take thyroid meds at all. You can find several groups on if you do a search for Low Dose Naltrexone. And you can go to LowDoseNaltrexone.org for more info. Best wishes! Glowing, grace~As Ghandi taught, the secret to life is to struggle against oppression and to fight for what is needed, but not to be attached to any particular outcome. Guest guest
Maybe just take kelp then. 400 mg or so. It has a natural source of iodine, and you would have to take 5000 mg or more to create thyroid or adrenal problems. > > > > > > How's everybody doing? > > > > > > I'm from lymenet : ) > > > Have been treating Lyme for over a year > > > I'm on an anti-parasite and herbal protocol > > > > > > I'm obviously here for a reason - adrenal/thyroid issues > > > I've got the adrenals covered and have slowly started to recover them - but my thyroid doesn't seem to wanna come around. > > > > > > I have high rT3 and have NOT tested positive for Hashi's (antibodies) > > > > > > I'm interested in either iodine or glandulars to help get my thyroid up and running again. > > > > > > My biggest complaints are hair loss, some constipation, weight loss, cold hands and feet often, etc > > > > > > > > > **Someone recommended a product to me called T-100 > > > Ingredients: 400mg Dulse, 300mg Tyrosine, Thyroid 100mg, Adrenal 50mg, Pituitary 15mg, Thymus 5mg > > > > > > What do you guys think of that? ^^ > > > Opinions of Glandlulars? > > > > > > PS: I'm not a newbie to the endocrine syste - I'm very well-versed. > > > I was recommended to come here to talk in depth > > > > > > Thanks guys > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > >
Guest guest
kelp is high in arsenic and other heavy metals, not a healthy source for iodine. Lugols solution or in tablet form (Iodoral) is a healthier choice. Kathleen Re: Hey Guys - First Post Maybe just take kelp then. 400 mg or so. Guest guest
,This list is devoted to Iodine either Lugol's or Iodoral because its effectiveness and easier to manipulate the proper personal dose. Kelp has been polluted as stated below and you will need to be extremely careful with it. Some of us use high doses of iodine to stay healthy and get the harmful halides out. I'm not familiar with any adrenal support or thyroid med because Iodine and its companion support nutrients did its job with my cold feet/hands, fatigue and more symptoms of brominism and tired adrenals.Have you read the book of Dr Brownstein Iodine: Why You Need it, Why You Can't Live Without it? Guest guest
, Your right about the kelp, but the one I take is from a GMP company so suppose to be tested for those pollutants, but you never know. I just know it makes my hair nice and soft, which is usually dry and helps me with energy. Lugols works great, but I'm not sure about the dosage and seem to break out when I take it. Unfortunately there aren't any doctors like Dr. Brownstein here in canada, and none of the naturopaths I have been to think we need any more iodine than we already get in salt. Meanwhile our water if full of chlorine and we have bromine in our environment. Guest guest
**Someone recommended a product to me called T-100 Ingredients: 400mg Dulse, 300mg Tyrosine, Thyroid 100mg, Adrenal 50mg, Pituitary 15mg, Thymus 5mgNice supplement but you also need a real iodine dose. You can get that from Lugol's and Iodoral pills which some find more convenient. I have eaten seaweed for 30 years just because I like it. You can mail order bulk seaweed from Maine. But high powered iodine like Lugol's is where it is at.You start with a high dose for healing Then move to a lower maintenance dose Tyrosine works well with iodine in the thyroidSelenium tooWhat is hurting thyroids is the fluorides and chlorine in waterLugols can heal from what they have doneGood luckGarrick On Fri, Jan 7, 2011 at 6:01 PM, <canefan18@...> wrote: How's everybody doing?
