I've noticed that my basal body temp went up really high and I've been very hot during my luteal phase, but I'm thinking this is due to me taking maca root.I feel like I take so many supplements that don't do anything for me...I'm still tired, still sleep 9/10 hours, still have ridiculously dry skin, I loose a bit of hair but my labs are all fine. I still haven't gotten pregnant. I've even gone gluten free and dairy free. What are the effects of iodine on insulin? I was low in insulin on my nutrient test as well as chromium...Thanks in advance

Guest guest
Well, they could be better...however, when I look back at the test results they did it based on a wake time of 8 am but I actually woke at 10, so when I look at it it's actually " normal " ... > > > > > > > I've been taking ioderol for a year now, I've upped it and lowered it but > > the only difference I notice is when I don't take it. Guest guest
If you insulin levels are lower, that's a good thing. Insulin resistance would cause higher levels of insulin.LinnOn Jan 14, 2011, at 4:54 PM, gagokahno wrote: > On 1/12/2011 11:56 AM, LinR wrote: > > > > I've been taking ioderol for a year now, I've upped it and lowered it > > but the only difference I notice is when I don't take it. Guest guest
Diabetes or Insulin Resistance. I have the later, and I'm always dragging, even though I have taken Iodine almost 4 yrs now, among other things. My Thyroid seems OK, my TSH was normal (lower end), but I can hardly function. If your BBT is high, your Thyroid is probably not low then. Have you taken an A1C test? That will tell you if your Diabetic. If it's normal, as mine is, it is probably Insulin resistance, a pre-diabetic condition. Diet seems to be the best thing for this. I am on a low to no carb diet, losing weight and my symptoms are diminishing. VCO really helps keep my energy up but not always. I'm just pushing through and hoping to reverse the effects of Insulin resistance. Good luck with whatever you have! > > > > I've been taking ioderol for a year now, I've upped it and lowered it > > but the only difference I notice is when I don't take it. I get MORE > > tired. Guest guest
TSH is a poor test of thyroid function.
