Guest guest
Thank you, , for this info. I knew that iodine had been made illegal some months ago, but I didn't know why; although, personally, I think the real reason they took iodine off the market because they didn't want anyone making methamphetamine with it. Another drug war casualty. They will tell us it's because of the Wolff-Chaikoff Effect, but it's really about meth. Guess they don't realize that meth can be made any number of different ways. Anyway, this is my first post here and I can also testify that iodine made me come alive. Back in the '90's, I went from doc to doc trying to find out what was wrong with me. I had a huge goiter sticking out the side of my neck; still, no doc ever mentioned iodine to me. Amazing. I really have no faith in the medical community at this point. I learned about iodine from a friend of ours, who takes it, as well as other nutrients and he's the healthiest-looking person I've ever met. He also told us about transdermal magnesium oil, which I use. I used to have horrible pain all over my body; not any more since I've used the mag oil. You can buy the crystals and mix it with water yourself. I think that when we are deficient in iodine, it causes pain in our bodies - fibromyalgia is probably caused by serious iodine deficiency and /or low thyroid. I take 2 drops of potassium iodide every day. My husband does as well and it made him come alive as well. I think they have the minimum daily requirement amount of iodine way off. At least, it seems for my husband and me, that we need far more than the miniscule amount the charts tell us. Thanks for this list, I'm really learning alot on it.Regards, ArielOn Sat, Jan 15, 2011 at 3:05 AM, Baker <vbaker@...> wrote: The health care system is highly broken and has been for many years. Guest guest
didn't say that iodine was illegal. She stated that it was removed (essentially) from the food supply due to the WCE. The DEA controls the distribution of iodine now. It was in an effort to deal with meth producers. You can purchase 5% solution Lugol's OTC in 2 oz bottles or less. 2% solution can be a bit larger. If you want a larger quantity you need a prescription. It is true that the WCE has been responsible for the replacement of iodine with brominated vegetable oil and other bromates in our food. Fear. Guest guest
I live in a VERY small town that is out from nowhere. I have looked at all the pharmacies in my area and never found it. I looked all over the internet and couldn't find it. So, when someone told me that it wasn't being sold any more, it made sense to me. Now that I've totally shot any credibility I had, I'll be quiet.ArielOn Sat, Jan 15, 2011 at 12:29 PM, Linn <linnmiller@...> wrote: Tincture of iodine is available at just about any pharmacy OTC.LinnOn Jan 15, 2011, at 11:16 AM, ladybugsandbees wrote: Tincture isn't illegal to buy. Guest guest
Thanks, Steph. Yes, the recent controlling of iodine by the DEA is separate from when they removed it from the food supply in the 1970s. Lugol's is still completely available for those who want it for supplementation, just not in largest sizes without a prescription. Ariel glad you are having good results. Do make sure you're taking all the companion nutrients and you might really want to get Lugol's or Iodoral tablets, because our bodies need both the iodiDe form like you are getting in the potassium iodiDe, but also the iodiNe form which is also included in the Lugol's formulation. --V At 10:18 AM 1/15/2011, you wrote: > didn't say that iodine was illegal. Guest guest
My husband, who is a biologist, says that the minute iodide hits your stomach, it becomes iodine. Has anyone ever heard anything about this?ArielOn Sat, Jan 15, 2011 at 2:01 PM, Baker <vbaker@...> wrote: Thanks, Steph. Guest guest
Yes but you can't take that internally, right? who is patiently waiting for my bottle of Iodoral. Daddy is fitting the bill this time and I hope he doesn't take forever to order it. I linked him to the breastchoices org. Of course he replies you don't have breast cancer so I had to tell him how our soil is depleted and it is in small amounts in contaminated foods. from IllinoisFrom: ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...>iodine Sent: Sat, January 15, 2011 11:16:16 AMSubject: Re: Re: Me too, Why did iodine make me come alive?
