Guest guest
I had this type of thing happen with me and it was a hormone imbalance of my progesterone to estrogen. You may need to have them checked. Experience Hypo again.Need help! I have been taking iodine at 200mg with companients for almost 3 months and did not experience much detox. Initially everything went well: increased energy in the day, better sleeping, better skin complex, reduced blood amount in my periods. However, this month, I am experiencing hypo symptoms two weeks before my periods: feeling tired in the late afternoon, worse sleep, much increased hair falling out, mild constipation, heavy bleeding in my period. If I pressed my breast, I even felt FBD pain. Once my period started, the pain was gone and constipation and sleep became better. Could you please advise what could go wrong? What adjustments should I do or what else supplements should I take? All the supplements I am taking are:Iodoral: 200mgSelenium: 400mcgMagnisum 600mgVitamin C 5000mgVitamin D 7,000-8,000IUATP cofactor 2 tablets/day (1200mg)Vitamin A 10,000IUVitamin B50 Complex (1 tablet)CoQ10 300mgMilk Thistle 250mgOmega 3, 1 tea spoonThanks! Guest guest
Jeniffer,I'm using 100mg lugol's for 9mo now and still cleaning a lot of junk, can't do well on less yet. To keep my hormones happy I do different things over the cycle. Like rising my Mg depending on activity level and during the period, I adjust by feeling (minor constipation, stiffness, etc). Once I recovered the health of my symporters I quit ATP cofactors because they were disturbing my iron by lowering my vit B6. B6 is crucial for estrogen-progesterone balance. I do have now vit b100 complex 3x/day instead. I tried different vit A, not all of them are the same, but we need animal and vegetal sources. I do have a pinch of milk thistle and dandelion root ea in an decoccion in a quart of water daily. I did clean my gall bladder and the absorption of nutrients improved enormously. I use turmeric, and the tinctures from http://www.sensiblehealth.com to keep my liver up. A clean working liver will do a good job regulating hormones, if everything needed is there. I do have plenty of sun, omega 3 and CoQ10 also. Hope it helps. From: <jennifer6g@...>iodine Sent: Tue, January 4, 2011 5:20:35 PMSubject: Experience Hypo again.Need help! Guest guest
Hi Steph/, Thank you very much for your comments. I think you hit the point: I may have hormones imbalance like estrogene dominance. I will try to increase my Vit B complex intake as did . I have a few more questions here: 1. Have you heard of the Dr Lee's ProgesterAll? Can I use it without a Dr's surpervision? or do you have any other products to recommend? It is hard to find a good naturalpath dr. I will try. 2. How do you know you recovered the health of your symporters? I am thinking of quitting ATP cofactor in future. I know long term intake is not good for liver function. 3. I haven't done any live cleanse. Should I stop Iodine and companinent intake when I do liver cleanse? You comments is much appreciated! Guest guest
Hi Jen,1. I don't have experience with natural hormones. So far so good here with my very own (I'm 41yo 5'4" 118lb).2. I was in low doses of iodine for more than a year before going up to 100mg All of the sudden I notice that those lower doses were doing nothing to me and I got tested. I had 105% excretion of iodine. My symporters were overloaded by bromides. I ramped up to 75mg I had a lot of improvements and still feel some fatigue. Fatigue, -based in Dr. B book- can be related to the organification of iodine, when this process has a defect it needs the help of the ATP cofactors to produce the energy required to utilize the iodine (organification). I did use the ATP cofactors and they helped a lot. In a week I decide to try 100mg and feel a lot better but still need the ATPc cofactors for that estrange fatigue that was not present when using the ATPc. I had not clue how long I will be using ATPc, but let my body decide. There were about 2 months when I feel a mayor change again. Tired! not fatigue. My legs were feeling heavy and my skin color became pallid, my eyelids were not nicely pink anymore, my back hurt during my period, that was clearly low iron. I did found that B2 inhibit B6. B6 is necessary for iron absorption. So time to stopped the ATP cofactors and have beets daily, as well as red meat and occasionally extra B6 just when I feel bloated -that happens to be close to the middle of my period. When I stopped the ATP cofactors I saw that I was not needing them anymore, no more fatigue and I can see and feel how the iodine is transported by the symporters because all of the brominism symptoms are gone, my mind is clear my energy is better than ever, this is since I started the 100mg of iodine. If I lower my iodine these days the brominism symptoms return. I have weaned the ATP cofactors successfully, no more fatigue. Vit C is for the maintenance of the symporters health, so they get plenty. I got my sister (45yo) into iodine. About 2 mo ago, she was having almost all of the symptoms you mention and she got them over with extra B6 and fermented cod liver oil. She also has the 3x/day B100 complex, 50mg iodine, sttoped also the ATP cofactors.3. You don't need to stop the iodine neither the supps. But I guess it depends of what you use you to clean the liver. If you decide to flush the liver/gall bladder you stop them only the day of the flush. Be aware that the flush will get a lot of your liver out, including a lot of estrogen. I'm not estrogen dominant and took 2 cycles after the flush to get regular again I will not have those flushes in less than 6mo apart, they are very strong for me hormones to handle. I did have extra fermented fish oil to balance that out successfully 3 tablespoons daily for 3 days, normally I have 1tsp daily. After the liver flush I did a mayor improvement again, it just feels better.Hope it helps! From: <jennifer6g@...>iodine Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 6:38:17 AMSubject: Re: Experience Hypo again.Need help! Guest guest
Hi , Thank you so much for your detailed instruction!!! I will add B6, B100complex, cod liver oil in my list and stop ATP cofactor to see how it goes. (I have supplement the ATP cofactor for 2 months). The liver flush always looks too complicated to administrate it. Have you tried Coffee Enema before? Do you know the pros and cons when compared with liver flush using olive oil and apple juice? Thanks again! Jen > > Hi Jen, > > 1. I don't have experience with natural hormones. So far so good here with my > very own (I'm 41yo 5'4 " 118lb). > 2. Guest guest
Hi Jen,I have not experience with coffee enemas. I know as much as Google can tell me, and what the book of the Gerson Therapy has on it. I did use the olive oil and apple juice, and it is not as hard as it sound to administer. Let us know how it develops. I'm happy to help. From: <jennifer6g@...>iodine Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 3:42:29 PMSubject: Re: Experience Hypo again.Need help!
