Guest guest
I used Iodoral because I have gut issues and it works better for me. Iodoral gets low in the gut for better absorption while Lugol's is effected by the stomach acids. I have used wither OPTIMOX C-500 or Vitamin Research Products BalanCe (Vit C, Ca, Mg, K) which is a powder. High Dosages It seems like most of those consuming higher dosages are using Iodoral. Why not use Lugols ? Is one more absorbed than the other ? Is Iodoral safer in higher amounts ?I have been looking into Vit C and there are a lot more options than I thought. If I understand what I have been reading, then it seems that at the amount suggested the C will oxidize the toxins in addition to acting as an antioxydent. One expert prefers the regular ascorbic acid because of the "ascorbic" effect. What that means I do not know. Since I don't tolerate more than a gram or 2 of the regular ascorbic acid I will mix it up with some calcium ascorbate (Vit C) which is not acid..or not as much as the regular one. I reading up I found that there is even a form of Vitamin C that is fat soluble.Be well,
Guest guest
Thank you Steph, Now I understand the preference for Iodoral. Since I have a lot of ascorbic acid powder left over from prior to my interest in Iodine, I might try to add some calcium carbonate and mag carbonate powder to buffer it.
