Guest guest
How have you determined that you are transitioning into menopause? Have you tested your LH, FSH, Estrogen & Progesterone? Guest guest
I seriously doubt that Iodoral has expedited your transition to Menopause. I got my sister on it and after 8 mo. w/o a period she is now having her menses again. While she found that inconvenient, I see it as a sign of health. I wonder if what you are experiencing could be detox. Good luck with this. Val > > Currently at 25mg (2 Iodoral) target 50mg. Guest guest
Iodine flushes out the EXTRA estrogen in your system. Yes at first--if the estrogen was building up you would experience some hot flashes. However--you run less of a risk for breast cancer! Built up estrogen that has not been flushed out is not good for you. From: valmiller500 <valmiller500@...>iodine Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 10:54:05 AMSubject: Re: Menopause! Guest guest
Another factor to consider is that not all hot flashes are hormonal.A few years ago, I consulted a Chinese herbalist, & he balanced my hormones (allegedly) & my hot flashes stopped -- for a while. Then I started having hot flashes again, & I went back for more of the magic elixir that had stopped them. He did some arcane test & assured me that my hormones were still in balance, & that the hot flashes must have another cause (which he seemed to have no interest in investigating.) So I came home & Googled hot flashes, & there are a LOT of things that can cause them. Which doesn't help you figure out how to fix it. Testing your hormonal balance is an obvious first step, but if that doesn't result in an obvious solution, you need to check out some of the other causes of hot flashes. That said, my personal experience of starting iodine was that things were a bit odd while my body sought a new balance. While you are in transition, & all your glands are getting goosed with a sudden burst of iodine, things may get a bit odd. Sometimes a bit of patience is what is required, until things settle.AnneOn Jan 5, 2011, at 6:29 AM, shararehrastegar wrote: Currently at 25mg (2 Iodoral) target 50mg. Guest guest
I was already post menopausal when I started taking iodine. I had some extreme hot flashes where I needed to sleep with a towel under me because of all of the perspiration. It only happened a few times. I loved it, made me feel clean. Guest guest
I switched my multi vitamin to one called ProFema that has herbs in it to help and haven't had a hot flash since. I also have not killed anyone. They are worth their weight in gold.....
