A good article with good information in general, but just to

clarify: painting a small patch on the foot is not nearly enough iodine

intake to accomplish what we're after-- the author doesn't know about the

debunked Wolff-Chaikoff effect and seems to still believe small doses are

" safer " , which is of course completely untrue. Also untrue is that our

diets have adequate iodine in them if only we weren't exposed to

bromides. Other than that, very good ideas.

Maybe there isn't a bromide problem in Thailand? I think he wrote on a

different post that the feet are a good place to paint because of the pores

making it quick for transport, not for safety reasons, per se. I know of one

guy who says paint the butt because it is fatty. Who knows. People have their

ideas.
