Guest guest
I feel like iodine is one of those things that evaporates quickly so it might not be a good idea to let it sit like that. Have you tried drinking it in water through a straw? When I had my husband do that, he said it made a big difference. He could hardly tolerate the taste without the straw but it was tolerable with it. My daughters also took it easier through a straw. It also helped when I put it in juice instead of water. Me? I just chug it down and follow it with something else. Pamela > > I have been letting drops sit overnight so that I can tolerate the taste. Guest guest
Why not just chase it down with OJ, milk or even soda? I plug my nose when I take my LDN and I chase it down with juice, unplug my nose after a minute and viola! Drop your iodine past your tongue to by pass the taste buds. I wouldn't leave it out overnight. To me that would change some of its' chemical composition. from IllinoisFrom: joyce <jamkaye1@...>To: iodine Sent: Wed, March 23, 2011 11:04:19 AMSubject: how long should one let iodine sit in distilled water? Guest guest
You might also try putting some of your daily salt supplement, per the protocol, into the glass. I put iodine drops in a small amount (maybe an ounce or two?) of water, then put some unrefined sea salt in there too. Couldn't tell you for certain how much I use - I just " finger-sweep " some from a small container into the water, swirl it all together until the salt's mostly dissolved and the iodine's well distributed. For my taste buds, it takes the sharp edge off the taste of the iodine. Maybe that would work for you, too? I started doing that after some oral surgery when I was " allowed " to use salt water rinses instead of the horrid, staining prescription antiseptic mouth rinse they wanted me to use, and I wanted to add Lugol's to amplify the healing. The combo actually did speed the healing, too. > > > > I have been letting drops sit overnight so that I can tolerate the taste. Guest guest
Thanks for your responses. I am trying to do LDN at the same time as iodine.
