Guest guest
I have the same problem and I 'assume' it's a detox symptom. I am salt loading right now to see if it will go away. It does recede after salt but then comes back. My kidney's are in good shape, test wise. > > > > Hi all > > Whenever I take iodine I develop kidney pain even at mini doses.Last time I tried it. I added a drop of 5 percent lugol's to a glass of water and took one teaspoonful from that solution. I again developed kidney pain. Do you know if this is sign of low kidney function (creatinin and urea is fine) or could it be sign of another problem? Is there a way to solve this problem? > thanks > nil >

Guest guest
I noticed pains too. Just taking 150 mcg. I thought it was sciatica at first. That is all I know. Guest guest
Kidney pain and headaches were my detox symptoms. I just did the salt loading and would also take extra vitamin C crystals (calcium ascorbate) and that made it tolerable. Over the months these symptoms diminished for me. I was taking 50mg of either Lugol's or Iodoral and it did not seem to matter as far as the detox symptoms which one I took. > > > > Hi all > > Whenever I take iodine I develop kidney pain even at mini doses.Last time I tried it. Guest guest
I wonder if your kidney pain is actually adrenal pain? I used to have pain in both flank areas until I did a saliva cortisol, was found lacking & started taking cortef to support my adrenals. B God Bless America! Guest guest
I also thought if it could be adrenal pain. I have adrenal exhaustion an I have experienced adrenal pain many times. This one covers larger area.It feels like it is mainly on kidneys but I think adrenal area is also covered. So I really am not sure if it is only kidneys or kidneys plus adrenals.Next time it happens I will experiment of increasing my cortex extract and check if pain will subside. Thanks so much. Nil Re: Fw: iodine /kidney pain I wonder if your kidney pain is actually adrenal pain? Guest guest
Interesting finding from B about the possible adrenal connection. I wonder if that is why for some people substantially increasing Vitamin C to above iodine protocol baseline, and at times double or more, is of help for them for detox symptoms. Adrenals should contain the largest amount of vitamin C in the body, second is the eyes. Very interesting! And - not in any way trying to take away from other types of adrenal support, especially when testing clearly shows a need for it. > > I also thought if it could be adrenal pain. Guest guest
Kidney pain caused my wife's mom to take a kidney cleanse consisting of Asparagus, Coca-Cola, Lemon Juice, and Olive Oil after seeing she had stones on an ultrasound. She got a lot of what looked like sand and some other pieces that apparently didn't fully dissolve down to sand particle size. This was a home remedy found on a website where users rated them as to effectiveness and it was their highest success rating. Look for kidney cleanse with those ingredients. She only took one can of coke though, it made her throw up, so she continued on with the other ingredients and it worked. Been 3 yrs since and no more pain > > Thank you.
