Guest guest
Do you mean Shingles? from IllinoisFrom: spacejunkie2001us <scastor@...>iodine Sent: Mon, April 4, 2011 7:10:43 PMSubject: Herpes and iodine Does anyone have any solutions to herpes that manifests itself at the base of the spine? I have a very dear friend that has this and he's on about 25mg/day of iodine and the outbreaks are bad. Could they be bad because of the iodine and if so, should he up the dosage to try to chase it out? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
No. Genital herpes that surfaces on the lower spine. > > Do you mean Shingles? > > from Illinois > > > > > ________________________________ > From: spacejunkie2001us <scastor@...> > iodine > Sent: Mon, April 4, 2011 7:10:43 PM > Subject: Herpes and iodine > > > Does anyone have any solutions to herpes that manifests itself at the base of > the spine? Guest guest
I have issues with shingles (herpes zoster). Iodine has not helped me. L-Lysine has helped along with Lauriciden (it is from coconut oil). Magnesium is also important. Not sure if the same protocol works for Genital Herpes but it works well for Zoster. I also get chiropractic adjustments. Buist, ND Herpes and iodine> > > Does anyone have any solutions to herpes that manifests itself at the base of > the spine? Guest guest
Thanks . He I think he takes alot of mag (but I'll confirm) but not Lauricidin. He's taken L Lysine before but he never saw results. A few things I've read on the internet seem to indicate the outbreaks get worse with iodine...do you see that with the shingles? I was thinking about recommending lugol's topically and then dmso to make it transport. Guest guest
My daughter had an outbreak of this and her nutritional PhD doc gave her a chinese herb concoction. He said it sometimes cures for good, but at least pushes it into remission if not cured. It was a horrid herbal thing she had to drink outright... not sure how we got her to do it. I do not know how long it worked.... she is very private and I have had no opportunity to "see" the results over a time period. Guest guest
I get outbreaks during high stress / low immune times. I would say that cleaning up the diet, strengthening the gut should go a long way. I don't know about issues with lugol's and flare ups. It's not been the case for me. Guest guest
Iodine and or DMSO will send someone through the roof. There really isn't anyway you can speed up the blister or what you call transport. Herpes lies dormant in the spine and surrounding nerves. Stress, trauma, unhealthy diet, etc causes the virus to come out. I would try avoiding things that puts stress on the body and maintain a diet of whole foods. That's really all you can do for that. They could take valtrex which lessens the severity of each outbreak occurrence. And yes I know, I've had to take valtrex before and the break outs decreased and the severity of them. from IllinoisFrom: Anne Seals <anneseals@...>iodine Sent: Mon, April 4, 2011 11:29:40 PMSubject: Re: Re: Herpes and iodine I would think that what you are proposing would really burn on open herpes sores.AnneOn Apr 4, 2011, at 6:03 PM, spacejunkie2001us wrote: Thanks . Guest guest
Consider topical application and oral ingestion of coconut oil: http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/genital_herpes2.html Also consider a search on the coconut oil forum. > > > > Do you mean Shingles? > > > > from Illinois > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > From: spacejunkie2001us <scastor@> > > iodine > > Sent: Mon, April 4, 2011 7:10:43 PM > > Subject: Herpes and iodine > > > > > > Does anyone have any solutions to herpes that manifests itself at the base of > > the spine? Guest guest
I have certainly not had more flareups of herpes since the iodine protocol. I'm stronger overall and that has resulted in fewer threats (Lysine and Vit C stop outbreaks for me so it's rare I actually break out). Chocolate, caffeine, and unprotected sun exposure (I always wear lip balm protector) are known to stimulate herpes. -- At 08:29 PM 4/4/2011, you wrote: >I get outbreaks during high stress / low immune times. Guest guest
Probably getting off topic but... I haven't taken it but Dr. has a product call Blister-Free Forever that he claims boosts the immune systeme and reduces and possibly eliminates out-breaks. It has L-lysine and a bunch of other things in it. Might be worth a try if your friend doesn't want to take Acyclovir for the rest of his life. Guest guest
Thanks for this and all the other replies. Alot of good info that I have reported back. A couple things he's already tried since he had it in the house, which were tea tree oil and a tbsp of coconut oil in warm water. I have alot of other things to research and look into due to the wealth of info here. He put Lugol's on his back last night and it didn't hurt at all so that was good. > > > > > > > > Do you mean Shingles? > > > > > > > > from Illinois > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ________________________________ > > > > From: spacejunkie2001us <scastor@> > > > > iodine > > > > Sent: Mon, April 4, 2011 7:10:43 PM > > > > Subject: Herpes and iodine > > > > > > > > > > > > Does anyone have any solutions to herpes that manifests itself at the base of > > > > the spine? Guest guest
Try lysine - 500 mg. ASAP at the start of the outbreak. Then continue for several days as needed. It helps tremendously with herpes cold sores so it might help. BarbF In a message dated 4/4/2011 8:15:52 P.M. Guest guest
Red algea is good for herpes. It interfers with the virus' ability to replicate. My daughter uses it and has good luck with it.
